Though Jimmy Buffett's new album "License To Chill" won't be released until this summer, it is official news that this title track will be the lead single from Jimmy's "country" album.
Next week, you can obtain the DVD of his music video for the single featuring the 2004 Sports Illustrated swimsuit models and Kenny Chesney free with the purchase of a swimsuit issue.
Anyway, unless another big duet runs against this single, it will undeniably go to #1 I believe. What do you think, and do you think Jimmy Buffett will be the Country Dominator of 2004?
My Prediction: #1
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

Here are the lyrics to this new single and the link to the MP3 download from a live January 20 performance in San Jose, California. hometown.aol.com/skibacca/license.mp3License to Chill by Mac McAnally
(Jimmy Buffett)
Work, work, work Big pile of it and the boss is a jerk. I just want to disappear Wishin' I was somewhere other than here.
Livin' for the weekend, Jumpin' off the deep end, With just enough money to buy A license to chill And I believe I will
Let the rat race run, roll around in the sun until Trouble turns funny, songs get sung A little bit of money, the night's still young Leave me alone I've got a license, A license to chill
(Kenny Chesney)
Girls, girls, girls Ain't nothin' like them in the whole wide world. So damn smart and cute, And it's amazing what they pass off as a bathing suit. Winners and losers Sailors and cruisers We're all qualified, for a license to chill And I believe I will
Let the rat race run, roll around in the sun until Trouble turns funny, songs get sung A little bit of money, the night's still young Leave me alone I've got a license, A license to chill
(Jimmy and Kenny)
License to chill And I believe I will Let the rat race run, roll around in the sun until Trouble turns funny, songs get sung One good song will last all night long Leave me alone I've got a license, A license to chill
A license to chill
(Jimmy spoken)
Ramos go rent me a coupe deville Hey KL, where's that barbecue grill Head on down to Margaritaville Have me a cheeseburger with a big pickle dill Jesus, I sound kinda mentally ill I guess I better go turn on Dr PhilSincerely, Noah Eaton

Why haven't they released this to radio yet? You figure they'd release the single at the same time the video is circulating in the households of those who have the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue.
Is there an official adds date for this single?
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

Do you think there might be a slight delay because of the Kenny Chesney/Uncle Kracker duet?

Do you think there might be a slight delay because of the Kenny Chesney/Uncle Kracker duet? I don't really think there should be at least. Kenny Chesney is in both tracks, but Jimmy Buffett is the lead in this single, with Kenny being the guest. Sincerely, Noah Eaton

On the Billboard Hot 100, Kenny has two songs without bullets, "There Goes My Life" and the Uncle Kracker duet I don't remember the name of. Who knows if Kenny's record company even wants "Licensed To Chill" released if it isn't on Kenny's album?

I wonder if this is EVER going to be released!
It got its Swimsuit issue promotion, it already has the video filmed, and Kenny's latest single reached its peak.
???
