Can someone tell me what they show in the video posted by Jazzy? I'm at work and youtube is blocked here. I could've seen it from m y phone but the video is not aavailable on mobile devices. :( It was basically like one of those X-Factor pre-performance videos (18 #1's, 200 million albums). Nothing too exciting. |

Aretha's almost as good a shade thrower as Mariah. Her interview with Wendy Williams was spectacular.
I'm loving the single cover- it's so cute, festive, and so Mariah.

Aretha's almost as good a shade thrower as Mariah. Her interview with Wendy Williams was spectacular. I'm loving the single cover- it's so cute, festive, and so Mariah. I would disagree. Aretha, while I liked her shade, there was no mistaking who she was talking about in that piece. Mariah throws shade like no one else. She throws shade and you are left wondering sometimes because it was like a backhanded compliment that backhanded an extra time. I think great shade has ambiguity, but you can still read between the lines. Nobody can call Mariah out because she is good at her disguise. |

Although Aretha is shady as hell, I don't think she was talking about Mariah. It's doubtful she even saw Mariah at that point, and she was asked about up and coming acts. 25 years into her career, I don't think Mariah is in that group anymore.

Notice the pres release avoided saying "lead single." Thumbs up for that. But still leaving out the important "iTunes" when talking abut the amount of #1s for #Beautiful."
