How in the world can she lose that much weight in such a short time???? She looks amazing... When you have that much money, it's as simple as hiring a trainer and a team of dietitians to construct your meals for you. I'm sure she has worked hard, but it's easier when you have money, obviously. |

Mimi said a couple of things earlier this evening that had me smirking- did she say "saleable" at one point? It's a word, but it just didn't sound right. And then something about "tangible emotions"- whhaaattt?  I love when she finishes a thought with her Mimitastic way of saying things. She really does fit the Paula Abdul role on the show- she always tries to find the positive. As for AH- they shot a video for it, so it's not like it's not being promoted. The video looks like it was given a little more mind than the one for "Right to Dream."  |

Though I really appreciate her style of judging. Encouraging - with just the right amount of helpful criticism.

She looks so good , stunning!. Notice how she gets the loudest applause when they introduce all the judges. Mariah is playing this role perfectly, all the people who see her as some diva bitch are seeing the lovable sweet Mariah with a touch of dry humor.

I went to a networking event last night at the Wang Theater in Boston. Mariah played there during the Memoirs theater tour that I went to. Part of the event was a backstage and behind-the-scenes tour, which was such an incredible experience. I was able to stand in the same green room that Mariah hung out in, see the room she used for her dressing room, and stand on the same stage she stood on. Even better, I got to hear some stories from the head of security. Apparently, he was instructed not to look her in the eye ever. However, Mariah herself came up to him to tell him some things and obviously, he looked her in the eye and kept his job. He said that rule never came from her directly but by someone in her entourage, which is usually the case with big stars like her. The people that follow her around think they themselves are celebrities. He also said that, since he had heard she was difficult, he was a bit nervous but she is not nearly as bad as she is made out to be, which also does not surprise me. It's not the first time I have heard a story about Mariah's entourage being difficult but Mariah herself being nice. She actually asked him if he thought she was being a diva when she was making requests and he said..."Well, a little bit but it's fine!" She replied: "Well, I guess I am a diva then!" and laughed. He was telling stories about Lady GaGa singing while she walked down the halls so I asked if Mariah did the same thing and he said he never heard her freestyle but she did walk around humming a lot.
Anyway, just thought I would share that anecdote with y'all. She looked so amazing on Idol last night.

hidizzyguy, what'chu talkin' about, vocabulary?  Though she has tried to serve up some bigger words in her songs, at times (i.e. disenchanted, incandescent, etc.) . And I'm reaching for nada- there's no denying Mimi's a rambler on the show, and, at least to me, it's entertaining, not annoying or anything. It also is tough, as someone mentioned, being the last to comment every time. She's been looking great on these live shows. I wonder if she'll avoid the more curly hair. Hopefully she doesn't get into the Oz spirit and drag out the "mane." |

I can list you hundreds of fat ass rich celebrities It is absolutely easier to stay in or get in shape when you have the money to throw at personal trainers, private gyms, nutritionists, doctors, etc. It's hard work no matter how you slice it, but the means and people Mariah has at her disposal puts her at a considerable advantage over normal people. Your "fat ass rich celebrities" does nothing to counteract this in the same way that super fit normal people doesn't either. |

Oh please, men in prison are locked up 24 hours a day, with not a damn dollar to their name. But you throw some free weights and bench into their courtyard, and they're some of the fittest people you will ever see.
EVERYONE HAS THE RESOURCE TO BE IN SHAPE. No matter how rich you are.
You just have to have the motivation and desire to be in shape. AND THAT IS WHAT'S HARD.
Look at fat ass Kelly Clarkson and fat ass Christina Aguilera. I'm pretty damn sure they don't wake up in the morning and look in the mirror and say, yeah, I'm comfortable being a thick ass girl.
