I registered just to comment on the song. Whether it's well received or not, I do not care. The song is average at best. It sounds like another WBT rehash. I'm not optimistic about it's chart success. I am here for the album since it's supposed to be her best since TEOM.

Interview was nothing new. No news about the album, really. Just a lot of Nick jokes, Eminem was mentioned and she said "This Godiva is really good!" She was also drinking before 8 LOL. Oh, Mariah! She was in DAHHHHLING mode throughout.

I wish I listened to all of Z100 instead. I skipped the premiere of the song - well, listened to the intro and at the very end, to hear how it sounded on the radio - because I am gonna buy it on ITUNES but I can't believe Elvis is loving the song so much and saying Merry Christmas is his favorite album to this day. Who has been praying this hard for radio's goodwill? COCO?!? Album is not titled The Art of Letting Go confirmed again. She and Elvis have good chemistry, actually. Glad they could mend dem fences.

Listened to Mimi on Z-100- she was wearing a negligee and drinking wine or champagne. :) Mimi was her usual entertaining self. I liked when she said she was going to pout on her shades because she wasn't comfortable with what Duran was talking about (and then she took em off).
The song is nice- aside from fitting in with stuff like WBT/ISIL, there's a- no pun intended- touch of TMB (my other half commented on it, too).

I like how the single tried to channel Usher's Climax but the production is kinda outdated, the beat is a mess coming from 2009 hell. Not a bad song but in terms of single material... Hopefully there's something great in the album since we've already ruled out any chance of commercial success. Unless we magically go back to 2009, a grl can dream.

People will probably hate the criticism, but this is what I foresaw when she announced the single will be released on Valentine. A lame-ass mid tempo R&B ballad about attachment (with not much else substance) that belongs to 2005 and not now. Musically it's not that bad (but not special either), but this is not moving her craft forward.
