Climax came out 4 years ago today. The draught is real. I was listening to some of the Looking 4 Myself tracks on my flight yesterday and can't even believe it's been four whole years since a proper Usher era has launched. Such a crazy long time that can only be justified by stellar material.

I was just listening to the album last night!
"Climax" is the best song of his career.

"Hey Daddy" is one of his few weak singles imo.
I think "Climax" is indeed his all time best. For me to say ANYTHING beats "Confessions Part II" is some major shit too.
Also, stilllll want "2nd Round" to be released.

"Climax" "Hey Daddy (Daddy's Home)" is the best song of his career. LOL I don't know about best but I enjoyed it, especially the poke it on out, poke it on out yeah line and the simple snap beat. I haven't played it in a long time. Thanks for reminding me of its existence! I shoulda asked LA Reid what is happening with Usher's damn album during the Q&A portion of his talk tonight LOL.

I think he succeeds at a variety of genres. I loved L4M and the EDM moments it has. I love him as a more old school flavored R&B singer, too. He's super talented. I can't wait to hear what's next.

Where did the 'howu' thing come from, does anyone know? It reminds me of either Joey from Friends (and Usher does not strike me as a Friends fan) or Wendy Williams (and I KNOW he didn't purposely get it from her lol).

Seems like everyone in the world is releasing new music except for Usher. He's just busy playing around on Snapchat and playing live shows with f**king Dave Matthews Band (my would-be DREAM in 2000... now? not so much).

I almost feel the opposite about it - I feel like that would have been a disappointing and affected mess in 2000 but now I'm somewhat intrigued, even if it is completely irrelevant. For some reason, I also am in some really weird zen place about Usher apparently having nothing new to release any time soon.

He always outshines everyone on their own song.

LOL. Why does he look 12 year old and chicken-chested and why does it look like he has a small diq?? The most disappointing celeb nude I have seen in...well...forever.

This album better be stellar with the amount of time he has taken on it.

I can't believe he took this long to come back with two of the most dull as fuck singles of his career.

Both songs sound like fillers from his older albums. Crash >>>> No Limit, but it's hardly an achievement... Go back to the drawing board, Ush...

I feel like Usher can't live up to the million different expectations people have of him. I think at some point along the way he showed weakness (or lack of confidence) in his output - and it's become easy to criticize and not give him a chance, perhaps. He's also had such a variety of styles throughout his career.. so his audience seems segmented and want different things from him. This combined with being less of a priority for his label... it's pretty rough!
Crash is pretty. Understated. And that equates to boring. Can he win? lol.

All I want is a great R&B song and not him trying to appeal to an audience of tweens anymore. He looks desperate to me.
