www.billboard.com/articles/news/1554504/official-justin-timberlakes-2020-experience-sells-968000-debuts-at-no-1-onOfficial: Justin Timberlake's '20/20 Experience' Sells 968,000, Debuts at No. 1 on Billboard 200It's official: Justin Timberlake's new album "The 20/20 Experience" debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, selling 968,000 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. "20/20," released on March 19, is Timberlake's second No. 1 album and logs his best sales week yet. It follows his last release, 2006's "FutureSex/LoveSounds," which arrived atop the list with his previous high: 684,000. Timberlake's first album, 2002's "Justified," debuted and peaked at No. 2 with a 439,000 start. "20/20's" monster sales are the 19th-largest week for an album since SoundScan started tracking data in 1991. The all-time best-selling week was when Timberlake's former group, 'N Sync, saw its "No Strings Attached" album debut with 2.42 million at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart dated April 8, 2000. Timberlake's bow with "20/20" is biggest overall sales frame since Taylor Swift's "Red" debuted with 1.2 million on the Nov. 10, 2012-dated chart. Among male artists, Timberlake has the largest week in nearly five years. The last larger by a man was when Lil Wayne's "Tha Carter III" debuted with 1.01 million on June 28, 2008. Interestingly, "20/20" also tallies the third-biggest week for a solo male singer (aka: non-rapper). Only Usher and Garth Brooks have scored larger frames. Their "Confessions" (2004) and "Double Live" (1998) sets debuted with 1.10 million and 1.09 million, respectively. Sources say Apple's iTunes Store was the top seller of "20/20" for the week, as overall digital sales, with Target its No. 2 account. The latter was the only retailer with an exclusive version of the album: It includes two bonus songs unavailable anywhere else: "Dress On" and "Body Count." Target has been heavily promoting the album via a series of TV commercials, the first of which premiered during CBS' broadcast of the Grammy Awards on Feb. 10. For its part, iTunes had an exclusive stream of "20/20" that premiered on March 11 -- more than a week before the album dropped on March 19. During "20/20's" debut week, the lowest advertised price for the album at a national retailer was $7 -- both Walmart and Amazon.com were selling the physical CD for that price. Target promoted its exclusive version for $9.99. iTunes and its main competitor, Amazon MP3, sold the standard digital album for $10.99.

Amazing numbers.
32,000 is a large amount, but I know that Target undershipped (it was sold out when I went to get it).
1,000,000 probably couldn't have happened, but who knows?
Who cares though? I never would have guessed he'd get these numbers. I'm very happy for him.

Does anyone have a list of the biggest first week for downloads?
All I could find:
Born This Way - 662,000 Babel - 420,000 Carter IV - 362,000 Watch the Throne - 321,000 Mylo Xyloto - 302,000 Viva La Vida Or Death and All His Friends - 288,000 Speak Now - 278,000 Recovery - 255,000 Red - ? Carter III - ?
- "Red" sold 465k on iTunes alone, it was said, but I haven't seen the total download figure. - No idea about "Carter III"
Any other big download seller I missed?

Jaw-droppingly amazing numbers nonetheless, especially considering he was initially predicted to do "only" 500k. It's impressive that he opened with nearly 1m over 15 years into his career and in such a bad sales climate as well as the weakest sales quarter.

- "Red" sold 465k on iTunes alone, it was said, but I haven't seen the total download figure. Red was an iTunes exclusive for the first week, so the 465k figure would be its digital total for the week.

Good for Justin. Here's hoping Eminem tops this later this year.
Also, I LOL at this distinction in the article..
the third-biggest week for a solo male singer (aka: non-rapper).
Seriously? smh.

hangout.altsounds.com/news/157575-justin-timberlakes-20-20-experience-dominates-global.htmlJustin Timberlake's "The 20/20 Experience" dominates global album charts
Skyrockets to #1 in the United States.by Chris MUG5 Maguire +, March 26th, 2013 and has been Read 56 times. Grammy® and Emmy Award®-winning Justin Timberlake’s new album The 20/20 Experience dominated the global charts this week as the acclaimed release soared to the #1 spot in the United States selling 968,000 copies, according to SoundScan. Internationally, the album hit the #1 spot on iTunes in 89 countries, stormed the UK charts to become the biggest debut of 2013 and earned Justin his first #1 album in Germany. The album is also officially #1 in Australia, Canada, Korea, New Zealand, Ireland, Switzerland and across Asia. The 20/20 Experience shattered iTunes records as the fastest-selling album worldwide in their history. In the United States, Justin Timberlake’s latest effort is the year’s fastest selling album and earns Justin the biggest first week sales for a male artist in five years along with the third biggest digital debut in SoundScan history ranking just behind Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift. The long-awaited album became one of Target’s top three best-selling albums in the past decade, topping first week sales of his last release FutureSex/LoveSounds. It also led Justin Timberlake to become Target’s biggest selling male artist since 2002. Music critics across the country praised the album with Pitchfork raving “Timberlake seamlessly conflates the last 40 years of pop, soul and R&B into a series of warping seven-minute songs that extol the joys of music…” People Magazine awarded it 4 stars saying it’s “the best sounding album you’ll hear all year.” USA Today handed Justin a 3-star review while Rolling Stone hails the album with 4 stars. Billboard says it is “one of the genres…most full-realized efforts in ages” and the New York Daily News called Justin’s music “luxurious.” Vibe Magazine says the album “has the orchestrated feel of a motion picture” while Complex says “what better way to return to the musical world, than to do it in style.” The Associated Press called the album “near perfect” and a “brilliant piece of work that plays like a musical movement.” Internationally, the album received stellar reviews from the UK press as well with The Independent, Evening Standard and The Times all awarding Justin’s latest release with 4-stars reviews. The Independent calls the album “elegant” while the Evening Standard says the album’s music is ‘‘infectious.” The album’s first two singles continue to shake up the charts as well. The platinum-certified ‘Suit & Tie’ had its best airplay week on the Billboard Hot 100 and Top 40 Mainstream charts (week ending March 24, 2013). The song’s latest performance this week represents a career-high for Justin, according to Billboard Magazine. When first released in January, the song broke U.S. radio airplay records earning the biggest song debut, airplay increase and audience increase for a solo artist ever landing at #14* on the Billboard Top 40 Airplay chart. “Suit & Tie” is the first song to be added by every Top 40 station in the first week. Meanwhile, 'Mirrors' topped the official UK singles chart for a third week making it the longest running #1 single of 2013. Justin wowed audiences in the UK with an exclusive performance of 'Mirrors' at the Brit Awards in February only to follow up that performance with a sold-out concert at The Forum in London that had Q Magazine give him a 4-star review. Ratings for The Brits went through the roof helping lead 'Mirrors' to the #1 spot on the iTunes Store following the performance. As ‘Mirrors’ continues to gain steam in both America and the UK, Justin debuted the epic new video the song that garnered critical acclaim following its release last week. Supporting the album’s release, Timberlake made a series of appearances including well-received live performances during this year’s Grammy Awards and the Brit Awards in the UK, an interview on the long-running The Jonathan Ross Show in London, a performance and interview on Germany’s popular program called Wetten Dass, a ratings-busting hosting gig on Saturday Night Live where he helped the show reach a 14-month high in audience numbers as well as a week-long guest spot on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon where ratings were driven up 33% over last year among the coveted 18-34 demographic. Justin’s performances including several comedy sketches were often the most talked about events the following day and week earning even more praise from media across the world. Clear Channel partnered with Target to air iHeartRadio Album Release Party With Justin Timberlake, which taped in Los Angeles on March 18. The Release Party was aired and streamed by 175 Clear Channel stations, the CW Network and Yahoo! Clear Channel utilized its multiplatform assets — from broadcast radio stations to online, iHeartRadio, outdoor, live audio, web broadcast, social integration and a first-of-its-kind 850 station "roadblock" announcement for an album premiere, reaching an estimated 100 million people across the country—to promote the album release party, live stream and drive listeners and Timberlake fans to Target, where they could buy the exclusive deluxe version of the album. On April 25, Justin will appear as the sole guest and musical performer on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Justin will headline the sold-out Wireless Festival in London on July 12 and will take the festival stage with JAY Z two days later on July 14. He will also headline the Rock In Rio Festival on September 15. This summer, Timberlake and JAY Z will kick off their Legends Of The Summer Stadium Tour in Toronto, Ontario on July 17 that will take the musical heavyweights to 12 cities across North America to perform at famed stadiums for thousands of fans. Giving fans even more news to get excited about, Justin also revealed in a recent interview in the U.S. that he will release another album later this year. Great for Justin!!
How do you guys think Wayne will do this week? I originally thought like 300-400k (which might have been low to begin with) but maybe with all his recent "death" buzz more like 500k+? He has an extremely dedicated fan base...

Timberlake's numbers are even more impressive when taking into account that the lowest advertised price was $7. In terms of solo albums, he's still relatively "new" (as it's only his third), but the N Sync years, the lengthy gap between the second and third albums (six-and-a-half years) and his number of featurings and the N Sync years) make him a veteran. :)

www.billboard.com/articles/news/1554518/justin-timberlake-starts-atop-billboard-200-earns-third-largest-digital-weekJustin Timberlake Starts Atop Billboard 200, Earns Third-Largest Digital Week EverBy Keith Caulfield, L.A. | March 27, 2013 As reported yesterday (March 26), Justin Timberlake comes roaring in at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling 968,000 copies of "The 20/20 Experience," according to Nielsen SoundScan. It's the singer's best sales week ever and the 19th-largest week for an album since SoundScan started tracking sales in 1991. Timberlake's last album, "FutureSex/LoveSounds," debuted at No. 1 with 684,000 while his 2002 debut, "Justified," bowed and peaked at No. 2 off a 439,000 start. Impressively, "20/20" instantly becomes the year's best-selling album, easily surpassing Mumford & Sons' "Babel" (658,000). Released March 19, "20/20" exceeded initial industry sales forecasts of 500,000-plus, which were made a week before the album was released. By the time Sunday, March 24, rolled around—the final day of the sales week—those projections grew to 950,000-975,000. To put "20/20’s" sales in further perspective: Last year, there were only 11 albums that sold more in all of 2012 than what "20/20" moved in a single week. Last year's top seller was Adele's "21," with 4.4 million sold. The 11th-biggest was Maroon 5's "Overexposed," with 988,000. Overall, Timberlake's "20/20" also logs the third-largest sales week for a male singer in the SoundScan era, behind only Usher and Garth Brooks. Usher’s "Confessions" (2004) and Brooks’ "Double Live" (1998) sets debuted with 1.10 million and 1.09 million, respectively. "20/20" was massive digital seller, too. The set sold 452,000 downloads in its debut frame, making it the third-largest week ever for a digital album. Only Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" (662,000 in 2011) and Taylor Swift's "Red" (465,000 in 2012) sold more downloads in a single week. With "20/20’s" arrival, Timberlake's cumulative solo U.S. album sales cross the 9 million mark, rising to 9.2 million. "Justified" has sold 3.8 million while follow-up "FutureSex/LoveSounds" has moved 4.4 million. Timberlake clearly scared away nearly all of the competition last week, as few major new albums went up against the pop star. In the top 10 this week, there’s only one other debut: Country singer Kacey Musgraves arrives at No. 2 with "Same Trailer Different Park," selling 43,000 copies. She takes a bow at No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart as well. As for the rest of the top 10: Bruno Mars' "Unorthodox Jukebox" climbs 5-3 (41,000; down 3%), Luke Bryan's "Spring Break . . . Here to Party" slips 3-4 (38,000; down 37%), and P!nk's "The Truth About Love" zips 11-5 (36,000; up 26%). P!nk's album is profiting from the success of its third single, "Just Give Me a Reason," featuring Nate Ruess. It climbs 21-16 on the Pop Songs airplay chart (known as Mainstream Top 40 on Billboard.biz) and flies to No. 1 (up five slots) on the Digital Songs chart (241,000; up 42%). It's the third No. 1 on the Digital chart for P!nk, following "So What" in 2008 and "F**kin' Perfect" in 2011. Back on the Billboard 200, Imagine Dragons' "Night Visions" returns to the top 10, rising 12-6 with 29,000 (up 3%). The album's single "It's Time" is bulleted at No. 11 on the Pop Songs chart, while another cut, "Radioactive," spends a sixth straight week at No. 1 on Alternative Songs. The latter also rises 10-8 on Digital Songs this week, selling 108,000 (up 6%). Last week's No. 1 album, Bon Jovi's "What About Now," slides to No. 7 on the Billboard 200 with 29,000 (down 71%). The "Les Misérables" soundtrack rallies 59-8 with 28,000 (up 221%) after it was reissued with a CD's worth of bonus songs. Mumford & Sons' "Babel" is steady at No. 9 with 27,000 (down 11%), and Rihanna's "Unapologetic" ascends 13-10 with 26,000 (down 5%). Over on the Digital Songs chart, the previously mentioned P!nk hits No. 1, while last week's topper, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' "Thrift Shop," slips to No. 2 with 234,000 (down 13%). Rihanna's "Stay," featuring Mikky Ekko, is stationary at No. 3 with 222,000 (up less than 1%), while Mars' "When I Was Your Man" is down 2-4 with 216,000 (down 6%). Pitbull's "Feel This Moment," featuring Christina Aguilera, is up 7-5 with 138,000 (up 1%), and Baauer's "Harlem Shake" remains at No. 6 with 114,000 (down 22%). Drake's "Started From the Bottom" climbs 9-7 with 110,000 (despite a 6% decline in sales), Imagine Dragons' "Radioactive" skips 10-8, and will.i.am's "#THATPOWER," featuring Justin Bieber, debuts at No. 9 with 108,000. Closing out the top 10 is Timberlake's "Suit & Tie" (featuring Jay-Z), slipping 4-10 with 101,000 (down 50%). Overall album sales in this past chart week (ending March 24) totaled 6.1 million units, up 9% compared with the sum last week (5.6 million) and up 11% compared with the comparable sales week of 2012 (5.5 million). Year-to-date album sales stand at 67.5 million, down 6% compared with the same total at this point last year (71.7 million). Digital track sales this past week totaled 24.8 million downloads, up 1% compared with last week (24.6 million) and down 3% stacked next to the comparable week of 2012 (25.6 million). Year-to-date track sales are at 328.2 million, down 2% compared with the same total at this point last year (334.6 million). Next week's Billboard 200 competes with the same week in 2012 when: Madonna's "MDNA" debuted at No. 1 with 359,000, while Lionel Richie's "Tuskegee" bowed at No. 2 with 199,000. Hip Hop DX(Current Albums rankings) 1. Justin Timberlake, 20/20 Experience: 968,000 (969,000) 14. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, The Heist: 24,000 (496,000) 25. Album sales up 11% from the comparable 2012 week- though sales would be down without the 968K No. 1 tally.

The last album in this particular series for Lil Wayne opened at 110K That was for digital only. It had an awkward release schedule as the CD was delayed to retailers stunting the projections. Counting the first digital only week and the first physical week it was 258,000 units. He also has the #1 Urban song and #5 Rhythmic song. A lot more buzz around this project

Paul Grein's Chart Watch, Week Ending March 24, 2013. Albums: Timberlake Sets Male Pop Record[/u] Justin Timberlake’s third solo album, The 20/20 Experience, enters The Billboard 200 at #1 with first-week sales of 968K. That’s the biggest one-week sales tally since Taylor Swift’s Red sold 1,208,000 copies in its first week in October. It’s the biggest one-week tally by a male artist since Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter III opened with sales of 1,006,000 in September 2008. It’s the biggest one-week tally in the first quarter of the year (when sales are generally slower) since 50 Cent’s The Massacre opened with sales of 1,141,000 in March 2005. The 20/20 Experience also set a new record for the biggest one-week sales tally for an album by a male pop artist since 1991, when Nielsen SoundScan began tracking sales for Billboard. This stat excludes R&B (Usher), country (Garth Brooks) and rap (Eminem, 50 Cent and Lil Wayne). Who held the previous record? Try and guess. Details below. First-week sales projections for Timberlake’s album were revised upward several times, from the initial forecast of 500K on March 11. About the only disappointment for Timberlake is that 20/20 just missed becoming the 19th album to sell 1 million copies in a week since 1991. No album has ever come so close to the magic 1M mark without quite reaching it. Each of Timberlake’s three solo albums has sold more copies in its first week than the one that preceded it. Justified sold 439K copies in its first week in November 2002. FutureSex/LoveSounds sold 684K copies in its first week in September 2006. Timberlake took a huge risk going 6-1/2 years between studio albums. That’s a lifetime in pop music. Swift, Lady Gaga, Adele and Justin Bieber are just a few of the artists who have debuted since Timberlake released his last album. You could say that Timberlake’s faith in his fans to remain loyal while he was off doing other things was Justified. After just one week, The 20/20 Experience is already the best-selling album so far in 2013. The runner-up is Mumford & Sons’ Babel, which has sold 658K copies in this calendar year. Babel won a Grammy for Album of the Year in February. The 20/20 Experience is likely to be nominated for that award next February. Timberlake’s first two solo albums were both finalists for the award. Timberlake has now had as many #1 albums on his own as he did with *NSYNC. That boy band topped the chart with 2000’s No Strings Attached and 2001’s Celebrity. It’s easy now to take Timberlake’s emergence from that group for granted, but it was a remarkable feat. Very few members of boy bands have gone on to successful careers as solo artists. The 20/20 Experience is the 23rd album since 1991 to sell 900K or more copies in one week. Timberlake has three of them (counting the two aforementioned *NSYNC albums). No other artist has topped 900K in weekly sales with three albums. (Trailing with two albums at or above 900K are, in addition to *NSYNC, Eminem, Backstreet Boys, Taylor Swift, Garth Brooks and Lil Wayne). Timberlake has been a pop star for nearly 15 years (*NSYNC’s first album hit the chart in April 1998). It’s very rare for an artist who has been around this long to sell as many albums in one week as Timberlake did this week. In fact, only one act has ever done it before. The Beatles had been famous nearly 37 years when their hits compilation 1 sold 1,259,000 copies during Christmas week 2000. This week’s debut also gives Timberlake back his title as pop’s reigning Justin. Justin Bieber’s biggest first-week total is 374K for Believe in June 2011. The sales tally for The 20/20 Experience includes 452K digital copies. Only two albums have sold this many digital copies in one week. Lady Gaga’s Born This Way sold 662K digital copies in its first week in May 2011. (For the record, an estimated 400K of those albums were sold for 99 cents at Amazon MP3). Taylor Swift’s Red sold 465K digital copies in its first week in October. As a sign of how much the digital album market has grown, FutureSex/LoveSounds sold just 67K digital copies in its first week. And that now-modest tally constituted a new one-week sales record at the time. (FutureSex took the title from Coldplay’s X&Y.) The 20/20 Experience also debuts at #1 on the Official U.K. chart. All three of Timberlake’s solo albums have reached #1 in the U.K. “Suit & Tie,” Timberlake’s snazzy collabo with Jay-Z, has climbed as high as #4 on the Hot 100. The follow-up, “Mirrors,” is approaching the top 20. “Suit & Tie” has received mixed reviews (Kanye West felt compelled to diss it) but it has held up well under sustained airplay, which is the ultimate test of a hit single. What album by a male pop artist held the previous one-week sales record? I’ll accept three different answers as correct. Kenny G’s Miracles—The Holiday Album sold 819K, but since he’s an instrumentalist, you may not have thought of him. Josh Groban’s Noel sold 757K, but since he’s a pop/classical hybrid, you may not think of him as pop. That brings us to Timberlake’s previous album FutureSex/LoveSounds (684K). Incidentally, FutureSex/LoveSounds rebounds from #98 to #37 on The Billboard 200. That puts it at #1 on the Top Catalog Albums chart for the first time. Kacey Musgraves’ Same Trailer Different Park debuts at #2. It enters Top Country Albums at #1, displacing Luke Bryan’s Spring Break…Here To Party. It’s Musgraves’ fourth album; her first for a major label. Musgraves co-wrote Miranda Lambert’s current top 40 hit “Mama’s Broken Heart.” P!nk’s The Truth About Love rebounds from #11 to #5. This is its ninth week in the top 10. That’s P!nk’s longest run in the top 10 since her 2002 blockbuster Missundazstood spent 23 weeks in the top 10. Both of these albums have spawned three top 10 hits on the Hot 100. Les Miserables rebounds from #59 to #8 in the wake of the release of a deluxe edition of the album, and the release of the DVD. The album returns to #1 on Top Soundtracks, displacing Sound City—Real To Reel. This is the sixth week that Les Miz has been the top-ranking soundtrack. Mumford & Sons’ Babel holds at #9. This is its 20th week in the top 10, which surpasses the 19-week run of the group’s previous album, Sigh No More. Babel has sold 2,122,000 copies, which puts it just 722K behind Sigh No More. Will it surpass its smash predecessor? Place your bets. “Just Give Me A Reason” by Pink featuring Nate Ruess jumps to #1 on Hot Digital Songs, displacing “Thrift Shop” by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis featuring Wanz, which spent the last 10 weeks on top. Could “Just Give Me A Reason” leap from #9 to #1 on the Hot 100? Or will “Thrift Shop” return to the top spot after five weeks at #2? Or will Baauer’s “Harlem Shake” remain on top for a sixth week? Or will Bruno Mars’ “When I Was Your Man” or “Stay” by Rihanna featuring Mikky Ekko move up? You’ll find out later today when we post Chart Watch: Songs. Here’s the low-down on this week’s top 10 albums: The Top Five: Justin Timberlake’s The 20/20 Experience debuts at #1 (968K). It’s Timberlake’s seventh top 10 album (counting four albums with *NSYNC)… Kacey Musgraves’ Same Trailer Different Park debuts at #2 (43K). It’s her first top 10 album…Bruno Mars’ Unorthodox Jukebox rebounds from #5 to #3 in its 15th week (41K). It has been in the top 10 the entire time…Luke Bryan’s Spring Break…Here To Party dips from #3 to #4 in its third week (38K). It has been in the top five the entire time… P!nk’s The Truth About Love rebounds from #11 to #5 in its 27th week (36K). This is its ninth week in the top 10. The Second Five: Imagine Dragons’ Night Visions rebounds from #12 to #6 in its 29th week (29K). This is its fifth week in the top 10… Bon Jovi’s What About Now drops from #1 to #7 in its second week (29K)… The Les Miserables soundtrack rebounds from #59 to #8 in its 14th week (28K). This is its sixth week in the top 10…Mumford & Sons’ Babel holds at #9 for the second week in its 26th week (27K). This is its 20th week in the top 10… Rihanna’s Unapologetic rebounds from #13 to #10 in its 18th week (26K). This is its seventh week in the top 10… The Sound City—Real To Reel soundtrack dives from #8 to #47. But the music video of the same name holds at #1 on Top Music Videos for the second week. Five other albums drop out of the top 10 this week. David Bowie’s The Next Day drops from #2 to #11. Passion’s Let The Future Begin plummets from #4 to #60. Mindless Behavior’s All Around The World drops from #6 to #33. Eric Clapton’s Old Sock drops from #7 to #23… Jimi Hendrix’s People, Hell And Angels drops from #10 to #20. Clutch’s 10th studio album, Earth Rocker, debuts at #15. It’s the band’s first top 30 album…Draco Rosa’s Vida debuts at #30…It’s the highest-charting album to date for Rosa, whose Mad Love reached #119 in 2004. Rosa was a member of Menudo from 1984 to 1987. (Ricky Martin was also in the boy band in those years.)…Black Rebel Motorcycle Club’s seventh studio album, Specter At The Feast, debuts at #35. It’s the band’s first top 40 album. Taylor Swift’s Red this week becomes the first album by an artist with a country base to sell 1 million digital copies. (Notice that I didn’t call it a country album, because it’s right on the line between pop and country. It will be interesting to see where it is slotted in the Grammy process this fall. It could compete for Best Country Album or Best Pop Vocal Album, but not for both awards). In any event, Red is the sixth album to sell 1 million digital copies; the third by a female artist. It follows Adele’s 21 and Lady Gaga’s The Fame. Croods was #1 at the box-office over the weekend. Coming Attractions: Lil Wayne’s I Am Not A Human Being II will attempt to dethrone The 20/20 Experience from the #1 spot next week. Also due: Blake Shelton’s Based On A True Story…, Depeche Mode’s Delta Machine, OneRepublic’s Native, The Strokes’ Comedown Machine and Sevendust’s Black Out The Sun. music.yahoo.com/blogs/chart-watch/week-ending-march-24-2013-albums-20-20-231438447.html

Justin Timberlake, Lil Wayne, Blake Shelton, Alan Jackson... who's going to be #1 next week? Depeche Mode, OneRepublic, The Strokes and Dido may also sell well.

Best line: "This stat excludes R&B (Usher), country (Garth Brooks) and rap (Eminem, 50 Cent and Lil Wayne)." In other words, sixth best-selling male artist. Good grief. Can't a great achievement just stand on its own? Not EVERY Chart week has to have a record.

Interesting that Taylor Swift didn't lose much physical sales but gained A LOT digital ones.
EDIT: Maybe because it was I-Tunes exclusive

Can't a great achievement just stand on its own? Not EVERY Chart week has to have a record. LOL. So true. It's pathetic. Well i have a stat for them. Eminem has two 1,000,000 plus weeks and JT has none. N'Sync doesn't count! Two people can play the game Paul is playing. haha. I mean Usher is a pop artist. I mean JT is as much R&B as Usher is. Which they are not really R&B. Usher and JT are Pop Artists.
