Well dangit, I'm going to post this anyway; but all but one of the songs I thought would apply failed the final test. When I most-recently heard Seduction's "Two To Make It Right", I thought there would be several songs which the title wasn't sung exactly anywhere in the song. But the other possibilities kept falling by the wayside; then I came up with one more today, Next's "Too Close". But sure as the world, he finally does sing those two words consecutively near the end of the song.
So maybe y'all can come up with a few more. And clarifying: it has to be similar to what's sung in the song. I'm not talking about "Sukiyaki" or "Jumper" or songs like that.
Oh wait, I just came up with another at the last minute! "Bang And Blame" by R.E.M.

Fall Out Boy- "This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race" The Joy Formidable- "A Heavy Abacus" Rod Stewart- "Maggie May" Coldplay- "The Scientist" U2- "Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of" Cee Lo Green- "Bright Lights Bigger City" R.E.M.- "The Sidewinder Sleeps Tonight"
And if non-singles count, Shiny Toy Guns- "Frozen Oceans" contains 'frozen ocean' in the chorus, but it's never pluralized like it is in the title.

actually, I believe there's one verse where "Bang and Blame" is actually said.
Thrice - "Stare at the Sun" and "Red Sky" are two. The White Stripes - "Blue Orchid" (does "We're Going to Be Friends" count? It says the phrase as a non-contraction.)

Just for morbid fun, I'll post the rules again, but as usual, so many of our posters simply can't find the time to read what the topics are about: And clarifying: it has to be similar to what's sung in the song. I'm not talking about "Sukiyaki" or "Jumper" or songs like that. And ForeverLovedXForeverChanged, Heart-Shaped Box doesn't meet my rules or your rules!

Geri Halliwell "Ride It" - Says "I'll be riding it" in the chorus, but never actually says "ride it."

My favorite nominee for this category would have to be...
Primitive Radio Gods - Standing Outside A Broken Phone Booth With Money In My Hand
A few others I thought of (after a quick scan through my music collection)...
Butthole Surfers - Pepper Coldplay - Viva La Vida Evanescence - My Immortal Fuel - Hemorrhage (In My Hands) (the main title is not in the lyrics) Loreena McKennitt - The Mummers' Dance Panic! At The Disco - I Write Sins Not Tragedies Pearl Jam - Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town

Cerebro, I thought about many of those songs you mentioned, but they do not quite fit the thread's focus (e.g., no word in Spanish is mentioned in the entire Coldplay song) I came up with these: - 'You spin me round' (Dead or alive) (the chorus adds 'right') - 'They don't care about us' (Michael Jackson) (the chorus adds 'really') - 'Thnks Fr Th Mmrs' (Fall out boy) ( self evident ;) ) - 'La Tortura' (Shakira & Alejandro Sanz) (before the chorus Shakira says 'una tortura') - 'Sexyback' (Justin Timberlake) (he says 'sexy back' ;) ) - 'Party out of bounds' (The B-52s) (at the end of the song they sing about the party 'going' out of bounds) - 'Independent Women' (Destiny's Child) (they talk about the 'women who are independent') - 'Careless whisper' (Wham!) (George sings 'whisperS')

John Mayer - "Walt Grace's Submarine Test, January 1967"
It mentions the character and the submarine ride he took, but the year is never mentioned.

Cerebro, I thought about many of those songs you mentioned, but they do not quite fit the thread's focus All right, so I interpreted the thread as being about "song with lyrics that don't include the title", when it's really about "songs with lyrics that almost include the title but not quite". It's been a long week.. So I'll offer an alternative: Dishwalla - Counting Blue Cars (the lyric goes "...we count only blue cars...") There. Better? :)

That's it, Cerebro! I had the same first reaction... Then I remembered there was already a thread with the topic of songs that don't include the title in the lyrics, and was thinking about asking for a merge but then I understood. Good song from Dishwalla!

How about "Take A Picture" by Filter? The lyrics say "take my picture" but don't quote the title exactly.
