Sade's 4th studio album, released in 1992. Love Deluxe was certified 4x Platinum in the US. The gorgeous lead single 'No Ordinary Love' is considered one of their signature song and won a Grammy for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group. Tracklist: 01. No Ordinary Love 02. Feel No Pain 03. I Couldn't Love You More 04. Like a Tattoo 05. Kiss of Life 06. Cherish The Day 07. Pearls 08. Bullet Proof Soul 09. Mermaid This is the best Sade album in my opinion. I feel like with Love Deluxe they acquired a distinctive sound, a style that has become influential: see Brandy channeling it on 'Music' from her latest album, Alicia's 'Un-thinkable' drawing from 'No Ordinary Love' or Beyoncé's 'I Miss You' which reminds me of 'Bullet Proof Soul'.

I also consider ti their best album. Plus, it's interesting knowing it was from 1992 because that must have been pretty refreshing in the market it was in at the time. Some songs have a bit of a melancholy vibe but those are good too.

Stronger Than Pride is my favorite Sade album, but this is my second favorite. Love it. Flawless from beginning to end.

I bought this a few days ago just for "Kiss of Life". "Cherish the Day" and "No Ordinary Love" were already favorites of mine, and "Like a Tattoo" was a pleasant surprise. Incredibly strong album.

All of Sade's albums are excellent, but this particular one has always stood out to me. I feel like they put more emphasis on the rhythmic qualities of their music here, which really enhanced their overall sound to give it a "fuller" quality.

One of my favorite albums. It's one of those strange albums that seems to exist outside of time and space. It truly is timeless. Such a masterclass in production, there's so much depth to the instrumentals. And Adu's voice just weaves in and out of the empty spaces. The drumming and drum programming on this album is so influential, artists are still emulating it (Sade is basically the face of modern R&B right now).
"No Ordinary love" is still just as devastating as the day it was released. That groove on "Feel No Pain," the romantic peaks of "Kiss Of Life" and "Cherish The Day," it really is some untouchable sh*t.
The album tracks are all excellent ("I Couldn't Love You More" and "Like A Tattoo" being my favs). There's not a single wasted moment lyrically, instrumentally or vocally and it wraps up at a perfect nine tracks. FLAWLESS.

Been revisiting this album lately and I have to say that this was really the turning point in their sound. Before Love Deluxe they veered more towards Quiet Storm and full on Jazz and R&B, but with some of the songs on this album there were already experiments with more of the Soft-Rock/synthesized sounds that they adopted later on with Lovers Rock.

Love all the tracks. Very soothing and chilled as with her other albums. I like that some had a little reggae in them.
Pearls is the saddest one on here. The highlights are obviously the singles, which are long time personal faves of mine.
