I think she stands a risk of flopping if the lead single doesn't smash. This quarter is pretty crowded, and both new and established artists are struggling across the board. Not to mention she's pushing 40, which will make it harder for her to stay relevant.
That said, The E.N.D. was massive and her Gatsby song got some love, so it's not like she's been totally out of the public eye since The Dutchess. If Interscope's got some quality singles up their sleeve and a good promo budget, the album could go Gold. Platinum might be a stretch, but I'm looking forward to new music regardless.

I think it can go either way with her. I'm assuming it'll be an easy climb to the Top 25 on radio and likely a Top 10 automatic peak on digital songs with her first single, but other than that I think it truly does depend on the material. She's been recording for about 5 years, after all, so I'm trusting her to choose the right material for the album. I know Katy's era this time around has been criticized by many on here (obviously due to the success of TD), but if the success of Fergie's album/era mimic's Prism, I'll be beyond pleased as a fan.

Finally after all these years waiting for a solo follow-up, it's on its way.

The snippet sounds like a hit. Nothing groundbreaking, but with the hype definitely a chart-topper.

I can see a video like Impacto (her collaboration with Daddy Yankee) . The verses are very Fancy influenced. I like it, but don't know if it's gonna be a big hit. Anyway, i didn't liked London Bridge at first too.

Idk... I don't really love it, but it's not bad either. I can hear "Fancy"'s influence as well.... I like the "la la la la la" parts though. Hopefully this grows on me.

She looked very excited to be out there again in that video.
I liked and bought The Dutchess, but I haven't really spun it much in ages. It's such a product of it's time imo, give how her band shifted direction and almost completely left this sound, with the rest of the music world.
It's cool that she's doing this again though. I'm not really feeling the single, but I wouldn't put it past her to get a decent hit from this just yet. A lot of the biggest acts in music today owe it to her and the BEP for helping raise the popularity of dance/electronic music at the turn of the decade, so hopefully they help give her time to shine if her material is good.

Can i say I love the new single and I love the energy she always gives. I'm beyond excited because music needs a little breath of fresh air on pop radio. Her last album, 8 years ago gave me many #POW moments. Still shocked considering how massive that was commercially it took 8 years for a follow-up. I wish the ones I didnt like did that, but nope had to be Fergie.

Yes The Dutchess was amazing!!! I'm not feeling the new single at all but I'm literally praying the album slays me because her first one was everything to me.

Thanks for posting the video. I hope her new project is successful. There's something about Fergie that I've always liked. She's just kind of cool. :) Oh yeah, she's aging pretty darn good. How old is she? 40?

L.A. Love has only sold 58k. I wonder if they'll be able to turn her solo comeback around.

She said the album will be coming out at the top of next year, so it seems like LA.Love is almost definitely going to be relegated to "buzz single" status.
