We're going back. Waaay back. In the 60's around the Civil Rights Movement. Reached at #9 on the R&B Singles chart and #31 on the Hot 100. IMO, I think this is one of the best composition that Sam Cooke has made.
EDIT: Just remembered that Seal made a cover of this and I like Seal, but the cover was meh.
