This is the entire show. No other extras or Two For One this week (I had to e-mail a source for confirmation). There were extras and Two For Ones planned but due to lengthy interviews (Seacrest talks to the Jonas Brothers and Adam Levine among others), they were taken out.

Some interesting points about the three droppers: "Harlem Shake" may have literally had the shortest chart run of any song ever; not only did it only chart for one week, but that week the version played was cut down to barely two minutes in length. (This doesn't count the previous three weeks as an extra). The Chris Wallace song took nearly four months to reach its peak (#29) but only a couple of weeks to fall off, and this is apparently the first One Direction-less AT40 in over a year, as "Kiss You" drops off with no new song or extra from them being played.

"Daylight" becomes Maroon 5's sixth #1, and four of those six have been in the last year and a half. Next on top is likely "When I Was Your Man", which would be Bruno Mars' sixth chart-topper, all in the last three years.

Seven extras is the fewest they've played on AT40 in a while (the Rihanna/Jay-Z and Fall Out Boy optional extras could have been 2 for 1's). I'd prefer more extras over more talk, but at least the mentioned interviews are with musical artists.

Remember, "Harlem Shake" is the official radio edit version sent to DJs with stop time of 2:06. I'm not so certain as to why they needed to strip one minute off for the promo version. Are listeners' attention span for instrumentals getting shorter or what?

I think #40 is all that he's going to get. He peaked at #35 without a bullet on the BDS charts and then fell out the following week. It's a great song, it really deserved better.

Interviews with musical artists on a music countdown show ??? What a concept! You ask me, that sounds like a nice change. It sure beats wasting time hearing the song that just dropped off the chart being played as an extra.

With "Daylight" at #1, (and a "just purged" song debuting) it's evident that the chart is now, firmly, 3 weeks behind. I think a little catching up would be nice. That might be a tall order, though. With this season of American Idol heading into the home stretch, it's not hard to guess where Ryan's priorities might lie.

You're correct that Snoop wasn't featured on "California Gurls." But I don't think they played the version of "Umbrella" with Jay-Z, and Bounty Killer was featured on "Hey Baby."

AT40's mothership (KIIS-FM) screwed up this week; listening to it online, it played a segment from last week with Taylor Swift's "Fifteen" as a 2 for 1, then there was no "Feel This Moment" (#8) before they righted themselves by skipping to "Stay". I didn't notice anything was wrong until the 2 for 1 came on, as that segment included #10 and 9 which were the same as last week.

I didn't mind having fewer songs, esp.with 3 new entries and 3 breakouts. The biggest mover and biggest
dropper were back to back. We have 6 former no. 1's. I wonder what the AT40 record is for that. Half the
chart has duplicate artists: Ne-Yo, Macklemore/Ryan Lewis, Fun., Flo Rida, Ke$ha, Maroon 5, Pink, Justin
Bieber, Taylor Swift, and Bruno Mars. That might be a record, too.

I'll repeat my Fall Out Boy joke from a few years ago: The week that Sugar, We're Goin' Down dropped off, I wrote
that now I understood what the name of the group and the name of the song meant.
