Where can I view the full video? When I click on the GMA link, the video that comes up has a run-time of 2:50 and doesn't start at the beginning of the song. ???

The video is amazing, simply put. There really isn't too much to say other than the fact that it's absolutely beautiful. Easily the best of her entire career thus far. I agree.

Oh wow! That video is simply stunning! If there is any female in Country music who deserves to be on the industry's A list is Kellie. She has the voice, the songs, the presence, the entire package! How she's not there already is beyond me. It would be a crime (a murder on music row) if Kellie doesn't get there very soon, she's just too good not to be.

Such a beautiful video. I love that they went this direction for it following her win on DWTS; definitely a unique choice and it really works for the song quite well. Kellie just looks stunning, too. This video should help her get more attention with this single.

Press release confirming that Kellie will be either performing or appearing on the CMA Fest televised airing on August 12! Here's hoping her performance of "Someone Somewhere Tonight" from The Stage when she was at the festival gets aired and it's not just another presenting gig!

^ Well, it would more than likely be a performance from the Stage or another performance she might have done during the festival week like the Opry appearance. Everything for that special was taped during CMA Festival Week. They have performances that weren't filmed at LP Field. Example would probably be Kellie and Kacey who are listed on the press release. The interviews/day in life parts are usually done along with the performances more or less. I believe Lady A and Zac Brown Band taped pieces outside of LP appearances - due to LBT being seen at events both bands hosted during CMA Fest week. So I don't think you have to worry about it being another presenting gig, there are no presenting gig's. It definitely wouldn't be an induction thing either seeing as LBT taped all the introductions from what I've heard. :)

Little Big Town does all of the introductions as far as I know, except Charles Esten (Deacon from Nashville) introduces them. I went to the taping of the introductions and they were the only ones that introduced people. They did all the introductions at the taping, except they had to redo a few during the actual show at CMA Fest. Almost everyone in the announcement I remember specifically being introduced by LBT.
However, I don't remember Kellie getting an introduction. Kacey did though. So it will be interesting to see what performance of hers is put in the special (if it is a performance). I agree it may be an Opry performance, but it could be her performance at The Stage too. Whatever it is, its awesome if she does indeed get a performance slot for the TV special.

Can it really be that this song is in danger of dropping off the charts? It's showing an overnight loss in spins and audience on MB, and it's sitting at #51 after the tiniest of gains on the BB chart dated 7/27. If it starts falling now, I don't see what will save it. A couple of adds this week could make a big difference.
I just can't believe this song can't manage a top 50 peak.

I'm surprised it's not doing better, because there seemed to be a lot of hype around the single's release coming off her DTWS win and Black River has shown that they can keep a largely unwanted Craig Morgan tune alive long past its natural peak (More Trucks Than Cars). I don't like the way things are starting to look, but I really have hope that they'll improve.

Today's MB update was kinder to SST, and there's no use focusing on every single day's good or bad fortune. We just have to accept that the song is going to struggle until it gets some boost from an unknown source, or until it fades. It only lost 1k overnight and did bounce back in the spins department, so maybe it has a chance to keep its bullet and stay alive.
The immediate goal is top 50 on Billboard. Not much of a goal, but there are a lot of songs in the 41-50 range, as well as in the bottom section of the 30's, that aren't doing all that much. There are plenty of songs this one could pass if it ever got going. But we haven't seen that happen yet.

onebuffalo does have a point -- a comment such as "heard this on my local radio station yesterday" isn't exactly a bad comment, but it's a one-liner that adds nothing to the discussion. That said, I can see why the "And?" response would come across as antagonizing to ILLUSION, so I suggest that we all just move on and let the discussion continue...just make sure the posts are of substance.

I still haven't listened to this in full yet (having crappy internet doesn't help matters any), but I can tell that this is a beautiful ballad just based on roughly the first half of it. In fact, I fear that it may be too beautiful and especially slow for radio to play. I'm honestly thinking top 40 will be the highest it'll get, if it ever gets there.

There's no denying that this is amazing. She sounds great and the song itself is top drawer material; I've liked every version of this that I've heard. My worry is that it's a little too sleepy for radio. Personally, I could care less about what radio thinks as I never listen to the radio nor does it gauge what I purchase. But I know that radio performance still plays a huge part in an artist's success. I just hope it catches on so that we can hear the rest of what she's put together for her upcoming album.
Speaking of the other versions of this song, I saw a couple mentions of the Pam Tillis version being their favorite while I have a slight preference to the Kenny Rogers version. Parially because it was the first version I had heard and he also has Sarah Buxton on his track which is a KILLER combo, in my opinion.

The thing about the slow climb for this that helps me sleep at night is that at least she's on a smaller label now, which makes me think they'll keep pushing this instead of dropping the ball w/ her the way BNA did. Glad it's at least looking to outpeak "100 Proof," but I obviously want it to do much more than that.

I could watch this video and listen to this song while sitting quietly in my house all day long. Kellie is beautiful. Her voice is beautiful. But when I heard it on radio driving in my car, it sounded so dang slow. I could barely listen to it. Amazing how a change in surroundings affected my perception of this song so much. Don't know if anyone else is experiencing this or not?

This song needs to double its audience to have a shot at the top 40. And the MB top 40 would be better than the Billboard top 40 because of landing on the countdown shows, one at least. I'm hoping it can get that high by the last August chart.

The last paragraph had me: "I didn't sell a lot of records with [100 Proof], but it's my favorite album I've ever done because I went into the studio and said what I wanted to say and made a more traditional record. Had I gone in and made the same old shit, then Rolling Stone and different music critics wouldn't have picked it as one of the best albums of 2012. That showed me that I made the right call. It was tough, but I'm glad I stood up for myself." All I can say is Amen, Kellie Pickler. Someone get this girl a #1 on country radio, please.

As if I didn't already respect her enough. She's such a diamond in the rough in this business and I hope to everything and anything good and holy that she sees a breakthrough somewhere down the line. It's so aggravating to see artists like her, David Nail, Lauren Alaina, etc. get such minimal recognition for their absolutely stellar and profound releases.
