^She is supposedly releasing an album next year (according to her interview with Nylon), so maybe we're getting something in Q1? This still should have gotten an adds date, but I guess "Summertime Sadness" just blew up more than they expected it to.

Prospect of it not getting an adds date and not being pushed to radio on her label would be disappointing. It's clearly resonated w/ many people who have heard it as shown by its sales. Would it have resonated w/ top 40 radio listeners? Who knows, but it couldn't hurt to try given the momentum SS has given her.

I agree. The other side of the coin is that I think "Young & Beautiful" could be a Pop hit in its original form, which would make the dance version a moot point anyway. |

I think if the song get some nomination/award (golden globes, oscars) it will be pushed on pop and on its original form.
A remix is a very bad idea. Lana is not a dance artist, and it would be ridiculous to insist on sending remixes when pop is getting more and more accepting on her real sound.
This is a very good song, people already like it, and it will be a perfect way to establish her as a marketable artist for mainstream success (well mainstream success on radio, because her albums sales were good from the beginning)

I think Golden globes are in january (probably we'll know the nominations soon).
Last year the songs nominated at the golden globes were way better than the oscar nominees
