Zebra's Top 120 of 2013 - 75-71Containing four of the biggest hits of the year and a song that should have slayed, here is the next batch of five. Literally all of these were split in half points wise, and all should have done way better this year except one. It is so short because I wanted to get it to where I could make sets of ten, and this group got caught in between my group of 25 and my groups of 10. Will post the rest soon. 75. Love And War - Tamar BraxtonRun: 11-11-10-9-9-8-7-13-20-23-29-38-43-48Peak: 7 Weeks: 14 Points: 112,600 6x Platinum *Charted In 2012*An amazing lead single from Tamar, I saw it scaling iTunes and I decided to check it out. It turned out to be a good choice. This song is too flawless. It should have done way better on the Hot 100 than it did. I look forward to what she decides to release in the near future.74. Daylight - Maroon 5Run: 37-37-35-31-31-28-26-26-25-21-16-12-12-19-25-34Peak: 12 Weeks: 16 Points: 112,800 6x Platinum *Charted In 2012*A song I loved from Maroon 5 at first, it burned on me quickly. It is my least favorite single from Overexposed, and I'm surprised it made it this high. Not a bad song, just overplayed and annoying at this point. 73. Try - P!nkRun: 28-25-22-20-19-16-10-8-6-7-11-20-25-38Peak: 7 Weeks: 14 Points: 114,900 6x Platinum *Charted In 2012*After "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)" soared into the top five, I was excited about her next single. This was an excellent choice, and I wish it would have done even better than it did. However, I am glad it made it into the top ten, and it did well this year. The mediocre top ten peak of this is more than made up for in "Just Give Me A Reason".72. I Knew You Were Trouble. - Taylor SwiftRun: 4-4-3-3-3-3-1-4-11-17-27-34-44Peak: 1 (1) Weeks: 13 Points: 115,000 6x Platinum *Charted In 2012*Speak Now did okay on my chart, but many of the singles from it were sort of flops on my chart. I love them now, however, but Red helped to catapult her back into chart success. "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" became her biggest hit since "Fifteen" on my chart. It burned on me fast, though, but then this flawless gem was released. It is so good. It was in the top ten at the end of 2012, and it carried over to this year. It even became her first number one since "You Belong With Me". It's a shame it burned on me as fast as it did, but it did well for being divided between two years.71. Don't You Worry Child - Swedish House Mafia ft. John MartinRun: 7-7-5-4-4-4-4-2-8-13-22-29-40Peak: 2 Weeks: 13 Points: 116,000 6x Platinum *Charted In 2012*Another amazing single split in it's run, it had a lengthy climb to the top ten in 2012. Then, it spent several weeks there at the beginning of the year yet it got forced out quickly. It's a shame, I loved this song so much this year. It'll do well in an all time ranking.Zebra's Top Artists Of 201312. The Lumineers
Smashing with both "Ho Hey" and "Stubborn Love", they did considerable work on my chart this year. "Stubborn Love" needed to do better overall (It was a number one on my chart), and "Ho Hey" burned on me quickly. "Ho Hey" burning on me and me not checking out the rest of their album (oops ) both contribute to them ranking this low. Glad they made it though, because from what I've heard they are great.
11. Justin Timberlake
"Suit & Tie" was a nice surprise for me early in the year, because I didn't expect to like it. However, I did, and it went top ten. "Mirrors" then came out and sailed all the way to number one and became one of my favorite songs of the year. So good. Also, Part 1 of his album was amazing. "Don't Hold The Wall", "Blue Ocean Floor", and "Strawberry Bubblegum" were all single worthy. "Tunnel Vision" was good but went nowhere with me, and then he announced Part 2. I loved "Take Back The Night" and "TKO" but I got tired of them quickly. The second half of the album was also much too long and didn't capture my attention. "Holy Grail" was a nice redeeming song for him at the end of the year though. This second alf of the album, combined with the fact that "Mirrors" got SO overplayed leads to him not making the top ten. Glad he made a comeback though.
Zebra's Top Albums Of 2013
13. Stars Dance - Selena Gomez
Charted Songs: "Come & Get It" (5), "Slow Down" (9)
Selegend. :'( Considering the fact that I have loved her material with The Scene (so pretty much just her), I was really excited for her solo album. I love many of the songs on this album, especially her flawless first two singles. I debuted "Come & Get It" high due to excitement and overplay in it's first week. It didn't fade away, though, and ended up being one of the biggest songs of the year. Her next single was even better. Despite the lower peak, "Slow Down" is my favorite. It may be my favorite song that Selena has done ever. It is so catchy and a nice jam. I'm glad it didn't totally flop, and I'm glad I gave it the lengthy run I did. I can't wait for the third single. Great album.

Zebra's Top Songs Of 2013 - #70-6170. Holy Grail - Jay-Z ft. Justin TimberlakeRun: 49-45-47-42-38-39-39-37-33-26-17-15-9-11-16-30-42Peak: 9 Weeks: 17 Points: 116,600 6x PlatinumA song I wasn't into at first, I slowly grew to love it due to constant exposure. I love Justin's part but I also love Jay's rap. This became my group's drive to college from home anthem. However, overplay killed it quickly. 69. Treasure - Bruno MarsRun: 46-33-32-28-17-16-15-10-8-8-5-11-19-25-44Peak: 5 Weeks: 15 Points: 118,700 6x Platinum
After the dud (in my opinion) of "When I Was Your Man", Bruno came back with a song I absolutely loved. It was a nice summer/fall jam that had a nice throwback vibe to it. I grew sick of it after a while though, hence the large drops, but I enjoy it again now. 68. I Will Wait - Mumford & SonsRun: 36-36-33-30-39-27-25-25-24-18-14-11-9-16-28-45Peak: 9 Weeks: 16 Points: 119,500 6x Platinum *Charted In 2012*
A nice holdover from 2012, this one took forever to grow on me. It finally did as I love the folk vibe to this one. It's just so good. It fell fast due to heavy competition though, so that held it back. 67. White Walls - Macklemore & Ryan Lewis ft. ScHoolboy Q & HollisRun: 13-9-8-7-8-7-10-13-14-17-19-22-26-27Peak: 7 Weeks: 14 Points: 120,600 6x Platinum *Still Charting*
What a flawless single. This song is so good. I fell in love almost instantly, and thus this song debuted high. It had originally spent a few weeks in my flop bottom 50, but I'm glad this is it's run. 66. Do I Wanna Know? - Arctic MonkeysRun: 28-14-8-4-2-1-1-1-2-2-5-7-11Peak: 1 (3) Weeks: 13 Points: 122,400 6x Platinum *Still Charting*A late year number one, this song is amazing. It was so catchy and it held up after repeated listens. I'm glad that I decided to check it out after it smashed on Lozzy's chart. This must be a hit. 65. 22 - Taylor SwiftRun: 48-46-45-43-39-37-35-32-29-27-24-20-15-24-31-37-39-37-46Peak: 15 Weeks: 19 Points: 123,800 6x Platinum
As much as this song is hated by many I actually enjoyed it. It was a nice spring single that was fun to sing along to. However, it burned on me fast. I was surprised to see that I had given this song this run. It's not a bad one, though. 64. All The Way Home - Tamar BraxtonRun: 49-36-23-13-11-10-12-13-17-15-16-21-26-31-33-35Peak: 10 Weeks: 16 Points: 124,000 6x Platinum *Still Charting*
Tamar's third flawless single in a row, this song wasn't as instant as "Love And War" or "The One", but it grew on me big time. This was a nice fall R&B jam that is still fresh. I wished it would have smashed. 63. Wake Me Up - AviciiRun: 50-41-35-29-23-18-15-15-12-15-16-17-25-30-30-42-45 Peak: 12 Weeks: 17 Points: 124,200 6x Platinum
I loved this song for a while but radio killed it. They seriously just need to let this one go. Overplay has caused this one to have a terrible recurrent life, and although this one deserves to be on this list I cannot listen to it now. 62. Acapella - Karmin
Run: 14-7-1-2-3-6-7-8-13-18-25-30-31-37-41 Peak: 1 (1) Weeks: 15 Points: 126,400 7x Platinum
After liking but not loving "Brokenhearted" and "Crash Your Party", as well as their other material, I was reluctant to try this one. It ended up being my favorite Karmin song ever, and it scored one of the fastest trips to number one this year. It's a shame I pushed it out so fast. 61. I Love It - Icona Pop ft. Charli XCXRun: 48-34-32-30-28-28-27-25-21-18-15-13-11-10-19-26-39 Peak: 10 Weeks: 17 Points: 127,700 7x Platinum I hated this one for a while but I loved/love it so much now. It is a really enjoyable song from Icona Pop and I am glad it broke through. I hope they have more success.

I'm so behind at this point that I don't know where to begin honestly, which I hope I could do a really good catch-up - Albums: Good to see Gossamer, Red and Clarity there. - Artists: All of them, with the exception of Tamar Braxton, who I haven't heard a lot of her songs. - Songs: "Closer", "Dark Horse", "A Light that Never Comes", "Die Young", "Stay the Night", "Carried Away", "Looking Hot", "Scream & Shout", "Perfect Replacement" (Shoutout!), "Love Me Again", "Everything Has Changed", "Under Control", "Do What U Want", "American Girl", "Catch My Breath", "Carry On", "Sweet Nothing", "Diamonds", "Get Lucky" (too low!), "Home", "Work Bitch" (too low! [2]), "Mountain Sound", "Ho Hey", "White Noise" (Shoutout! [2]), "Heart Hypnotic", "Try", "I Knew You Were Trouble.", "Don't You Worry Child", "I Will Wait", "White Walls", "Do I Wanna Know?", "22", "Wake Me Up", "Acapella" and "I Love It" (too low! [3]) are the ones I really like so far. PS. As I said before, so many great comments and thanks for the shoutouts PS. (2) "Love Somebody" and "Daylight" I prefer Maroon 5 old stuff tbh.

Thanks for commenting! I really enjoy them. Glad you like so many! I agree on "Get Lucky", "Work Bitch", and "I Love It" being too low, all of them are so good. You should check Tamar's stuff out. I like it, but I could see how others wouldn't. Thanks for introducing me to the great songs on which you have shoutouts! I agree 100% on the Maroon 5 thing, and all of my favorites ("She Will Be Loved", "This Love", "Makes Me Wonder") are all older. I really don't like "Daylight" or "Love Somebody" now. Thanks again juanito/Juan Carlos!

Zebra's Top 50 - February 2, 2014 - Week 35, Week 5 "XO" sets a new record for weeks at number one on my posted charts (5). Beyonce has a good week overall, as "Partition" also jumps from 9 to 5 and "Drunk In Love" moves from 18 to 11. Katy Perry/Juicy J moves from 3 to 2 with "Dark Horse" and James Blunt moves up from 5 to 3 with "Bonfire Heart". "Habits" thus falls from 2 to 4 and "Under Control" falls from 4 to 6. "Talk Dirty" moves up from 8 to 7 and "Move" moves (ha) from 10 to 8. Vance Joy makes the highest debut with "Riptide" at number nine. Considering the fact that this is the first song I have ever heard by him it is also his first top ten. Literally all of these songs could be number one, but my chart is so competitive right now that many of these will not top the chart. "Best Day Of My Life" falls from 6 to 10. "All Of Me" jumps from 50 to 13, becoming the greatest gainer of the week. "Let It Go" debuts at number 36, "We Remain" debuts at number 39, "Turn Down For What" debuts at number 54, "Let Me Go" debuts at number 56, "Happy" debuts at number 60. DJ Earworm's year end mashup crashes from 15 to 41, becoming the greatest faller for the week. Several songs enter the top 50 from the bottom 10 as well, so keep an eye out for those. "Wrecking Ball", "Say Something", "Neon Lights", "Replay", "Pompeii", and "Boom Boom (Heartbeat)" drop out. Zebra's Top Songs Of 2013 (60-50)60. Suit & Tie - Justin Timberlake ft. Jay-ZRun: 41-31-28-27-20-20-19-17-14-10-9-14-18-22-29-35-44Peak: 9 Weeks: 17 Points: 130,400 7x Platinum
When I heard Justin Timberlake was coming back with a new album I was excited. This one took me by surprise, and I wasn't fond of it at first. I grew to love it, but it burned on me quickly. I like it again now though. 59. Thank You - MKTORun: 47-45-43-42-38-33-30-27-24-20-15-18-28-38-47-39-32-31-33-37-47Peak: 15 Weeks: 21 Points: 131,400 7x Platinum
A catchy single from a group I still know basically nothing about. However, I loved it. It hasn't held up well though. 58. Little Talks - Of Monsters And MenRun: 29-28-24-22-20-17-19-17-16-11-9-17-33-43-out-36-43-49-50Peak: 9 Weeks: 18 Points: 131,800 7x Platinum *Charted In 2012*
Amazing song. It has a slow climb in late 2012 and early 2013 but I still loved it. It has had such a great recurrent life that it even re-entered. I wish it was higher. 57. Wagon Wheel - Darius RuckerRun: 48-48-48-44-42-41-40-37-36-36-33-30-28-25-21-17-25-34-39-44-48Peak: 17 Weeks: 21 Points: 133,600 7x Platinum
One of my favorite country songs of the year, it was huge where I live. I didn't mind, though, as this one was catchy and fun. I'm glad it had the success it did. 56. Dance With Me Tonight - Olly MursRun: 27-29-27-29-26-24-23-15-13-10-12-16-19-26-31-37-42-50Peak: 10 Weeks: 18 Points: 134,500 7x Platinum
After "Troublemaker" burned on me, I was looking forward to the next Olly single. I checked this one out after visiting the pop forum. I fell in love, and I was so excited to see it become a hit. However, that didn't happen. Was it even released? Anyways, I'm glad I was able to find it. I need to check out the rest of his album tbh. 55. Attracting Flies - AlunaGeorgeRun: 50-18-9-7-5-4-4-6-11-14-17-23-28-34-38-44-45Peak: 4 Weeks: 17 Points: 134,900 7x Platinum
A Slizzard discovery, he recommended I check this one out and I fell in love. It is so catchy. I had originally liked "White Noise" more, but this one held up way more. Such a good song. 54. Animals - Martin GarrixRun: 42-33-19-10-10-9-10-8-7-8-10-12-14-17-23-25Peak: 7 Weeks: 16 Points: 135,100 7x Platinum *Still Charting*
This song is too perfect. I discovered it on iTunes as it was rising and I instantly liked what I was hearing. It's just now making the top 50, but I am so happy that it is catching on, at least to a minor extent. 53. Tonight I'm Getting Over You - Carly Rae JepsenRun: 43-43-40-34-34-30-25-22-18-15-9-7-12-21-29-36-40-47-39Peak: 7 Weeks: 19 Points: 135,800 7x Platinum
After "Call Me Maybe" was a moderate success on my chart and "This Kiss" bombed I found out this one was going to be released. I decided to give it a try and I was not disappointed. Catchy, but high burn rate. 52. Next To Me - Emeli SandeRun: 47-42-40-38-35-35-32-32-31-25-25-19-17-24-25-28-29-31-37-42Peak: 17 Weeks: 20 Points: 136,600 7x Platinum
This song sort of snuck up on me. I liked the song for a long time, but I never especially loved it. Thus, it surprised me when it made it this high. Great longevity, nice song, even if I am a little sick of it now. 51. Sweater Weather - The NeighbourhoodRun: 24-10-8-6-5-6-3-3-3-4-5-7-11-13-15 Peak: 3 Weeks: 15 Points: 138,800 7x Platinum *Still Charting* It took me forever to actually check this one out. I saw it charting but ignored it, but seeing it smash on Au$tin's chart I decided to give it another chance. I fell in love, and thus it debuted so high. It spent many weeks in the top ten, and despite it having fewer weeks than every song in this section, it made it here. I love this song and I am so happy it did so well. If I ranked these songs personally, this would be top 25.

I'm not particularly crazy about any song in that area posted above, but I still do like all of those songs. My favorites would be "Suit & Tie", "Thank You" & "Sweater Weather".

Most of these are only okay now, but I love most early in the year. "Sweater Weather" is my favorite of the bunch. There should be some songs you like coming up soon. Thanks for commenting!

Zebra's Top 50 - February 9, 2014 - Week 36, Week 6 A rather busy week for my chart, Katy Perry (w/ Juicy J) narrowly advances to number one with "Dark Horse". "XO" has had a reign for most of the year so far and I still am not tired of it, but Katy was a close number two so I gave her the honor of number one this week. It becomes my 19th number one, although there are many more in my backdated charts. This is also Katy's fifth number one, after "Hot N Cold", "Firework", "E.T.", and "Roar". Despite this low tally of number ones, she has been one of the most successful artists on my chart (she would have also hit number one with "I Kissed A Girl"). Beyonce thus slides to number two, and her number one run with "XO" is likely over, due to intense competition. Points wise, Beyonce is already the most successful artist of the year. Vance Joy and Beyonce herself advance closer to number one, with "Riptide" moving from nine to three and "Partition" from five to four. Tove Lo falls from three to four with "Habits". Jason Derulo moves up one place to number six with "Talk Dirty". Little Mix remains stagnant at number eight, while James Blunt falls from three to seven with "Bonfire Heart". John Legend manages to score his first top ten hit ever with "All Of Me", a likely future number one. Beyonce and Jay-Z score another top ten hit with "Drunk In Love". She becomes the second artist in my time of posting this chart to score three top ten hits at once, following Lorde. Beyonce has previously been in the top ten with "If I Were A Boy", "Halo", "Diva", "Sweet Dreams", "Telephone", "Run The World (Girls)", "Best Thing I Never Had", "Love On Top", "I Was Here", "Dance For You", "XO", and "Partition". She would have many more had I followed music back in the early to mid 2000s. I guess one could say I sort of stan for her in a way. Outside of the top ten, there is a lot of upward movement. Karmin takes the greatest gainer award with "I Want It All" flying from 48 to 12. Lorde moves up from 16 to 14 with "A World Alone", and with all of this competition it is to be seen if she can achieve her fourth top ten. Shakira and Rihanna move from 20 to 17 with "Can't Remember To Forget You", the Goo Goo Dolls move from 24 to 19, Christina Aguilera flies from 39 to 24 with "We Remain", Birdy moves from 29 to 26 with "People Help The People", Idina Menzel moves from 36 to 28 with "Let It Go", Ellie Goulding moves from 34 to 30 with "How Long Will I Love You", Christina Perri moves from 45 to 31 with "Human", Kacey Musgraves moves from 37 to 35 with "Follow Your Arrow", Klingande moves from 43 to 40 with "Jubel", Naughty Boy and Sam Smith move from 44 to 42 with "La La La", "Cannonball" advances from 50 to 44, "Turn Down For What" moves from 54 to 45, "Little Me" moves from 52 to 46, "Adore You" moves from 51 to 48, "Let Me Go" moves from 56 to 51, and "Happy" moves from 60 to 56. Six songs debut this week, only adding to the madness. The highest debut goes to "Ready For Your Love" by Gorgon City ft. MNEK at number 20. I found this one from Lozzy's chart, as well as Clean Bandit and Jess Glynne's "Rather Be", which debuts at number 50. Rihanna debuts at 54 with "Jump", Mia Martina and Dev debut at 57 with "Danse", Bastille debuts with "Things We Lost In The Fire" at 59, and Ellie Goulding debuts with "Goodness Gracious" at number 60. These push out "Living The Fantasy" (41), "Young And Beautiful" (49), "Animals" (55), "Timber" (57), "Story Of My Life" (58), and "Burn" (59). "Counting Stars" still has the most weeks on with 42. "TKO" by Justin Timberlake is the greatest faller. Expect the next few weeks to be crazy. Added a few components this week. I hope to keep them up. Points system being revamped, possible year end lists soon for backdated charts, and just improvements over all on the way, so be on the lookout. Enjoy, and thanks for checking my chart out! Glad you like so many! Beyoncé's dominance really is incredible. I feel the same way about most of those dropouts, sad to see them go. SoMo is getting really close to charting. Thank you for that comment, and thanks for always commenting. I really do enjoy it.
