This should easily hit top 5, I think. I'm hoping for that #1 spot! :)

Another club mix of the song has been released by Marc Kinchen. https%3A//soundcloud.com/marckinchen/lana-del-rey-summertime

Is it just the Cedric version that's smashing on pop right now (like with "Cruise," where only the Nelly version played), or is it the song in general.

Do you know which versions are these? Im sure the first is the remix and the second could be the album version. But those other 2?

#11 tomorrow and hopefully it'll finally crack the top 10 on iTunes (it already has with all versions combined but it doesn't have the top 10 exposure yet). Once it goes top 10 on iTunes it's a done deal. Anyone knows where it stands on streaming?

Are we going to get another single from Born To Die? Or will they simply use this situation to garner name recognition (and hence hype) so that she has a shot at a real era the next time around?

I would like to know this too. I guess it depends on how far Lana is in the recording studio for another album. I really don't think BTD is really that radio friendly. But with Summertime Sadness proving to be one of her biggest hits ever stateside maybe it's worth looking into releasing something else with a minor dance mix, maybe something in the vein of Off To The Races (the most forward Top 40 pick of the album) or Dark Paradise which has a similar theme and novel idea that found success with Summertime Sadness and Young & Beautiful. I kind of wish that they had promoted Young & Beautiful and then this though, because I think that had a lot of commercial appeal too.

Maybe it will result in her entire discography getting dance remixes for US radio... I'm sure some people would love that. Seriosuly, it's only the US that's so dance obsessed. Here in Europe, all the radio stations are fine playing her original songs.

But thankfully, there are some that aren't all that Dancey, like the Todd Terry one of "National Anthem."

The video has just been added on her VEVO channel so it would be nice if someone kept track of the views since they reset them back to zero (I think it was near 100 million before it was removed). Currently 730 views.

That's funny because many people in the US are eager to declare the end of dance (and many successful artists are beginning to struggle with it) while the UK has had #1 hits this year from Avicii (x2), Duke Dumont, Bingo Players, etc. this year. The dance remix of "Summertime Sadness" is much higher on UK iTunes as well.

I absolutely love this but that remix from Hell needs to be set on fire and buried 6 feet under ground. It completely destroys the song and takes out everything that makes it so haunting.
I guess I shouldn't complain though, a hit is a hit and we all know Lana needs the (US) exposure.
I hope they release Diet Mountain Dew next. It's awesome and there is absolutely no reason to remix it.

Up #62 to #14 in Australia. She's previously hit the top 50 with "Video Games" (#23), "Born to Die" (#34) and "Young and Beautiful" (#9). The remix and original are currently #11 and #40 respectively on iTunes. Up another 10 spots to #4 in Australia to become her highest charter to date. The remix and original are currently #4 and #29 respectively on iTunes. inb4 it peaks at #4 here and then in the US too
