I really wish it wasn't the remix that was smashing. The original is so much better, in my opinion. At the same time though, the album is #40 this week in its 79th week, so the original songs are still reaching people. |

I couldn't be happier, unless Mariah said she was releasing her album before the holidays. I've only heard the remix once and didn't care for it. The original hits so hard. I'm stoked for her seeing success though.

what even  Okay after listening to the remix, there's no way this will do a thing on CHR, in my opinion. Pop just isn't that interested in generic dance, especially in the form of a random remix of a non-dance song like this. I really don't know why they'd choose to scrap "Young and Beautiful" for this? I mean, at the very least you'd think they'd remix "Young and Beautiful", not a random album track. But whatever, I didn't like the likelihood of "Young and Beautiful" eclipsing "Video Games"' popularity so I'm okay with it  Ooooh gurl Reading the posts at the beginning of this thread make me laugh |

The Cedric Gervais remix is better than the original imo, I'd like her a bit if she remixed more often.  Most of her singles have electro remixes though, they just haven't been pushed as the single versions till now. |

In my opinion the remix is the complete destruction of a good song, but hey, at least is giving her exposure and the original is selling well too. To be honest, with a few exceptions (Missing by Everything but the girl or You're not alone by Olive) the remixes never work for me. If i never heard the song before, the remix wouldn't send me to hear more Lana songs for sure |

I prefer the original, but Lana's voice is PERFECT for electronic dance music. I think she could be very successful making that kind of music

Wow, look at her go. I have to say that Cedric Gervais did something special with this song. As an EDM enthusiast, I'm usually not a fan of dance remixes of pop/adult contemorary/R&B/etc. songs and I think the last one I loved was the Moto Blanco's remix of Adele's "Set Fire To The Rain" which was awesome. I usually prefer actual EDM songs or remix of EDM songs instead.
The Cedric Gervais remix of "Summertime Sadness" to me is perfection. And it's very rare for me to say something like that.
