I don't recall "Ray of Light" as 49 cents; 99 cents, I believe, is what I got it for. Wait!! The flawlessness that is this post is overwhelming.

Did that really require Ms. Oprah Winfrey's STARE? I don't know if "Blurred Lines" will make it to a 212m BDS peak. Nonetheless, I don't think anyone would have thought it even would get near the level it's reached.

TAYLOR SWIFT – Everything Has …f/Ed Sheeran: 13.133 (+ 1.240)
Has this already charted on the Hot 100, or will this be another new entry for her?

1. ROBIN THICKE – Blurred Lines f/Pharrell & T.I: 240.418 (+ 3.145) damn! I hope it can't break thrift shop's record for 9 weeks selling more than 300k. Do you think BL deserves so much gaining in airplay? What kind of question is this? It's getting the sales, the airplay, and the streaming, so it obviously "deserves" whatever it's getting. If this song was by a white woman, I doubt this question would be getting asked. many songs had the BL's situation.like STIUTK in 2012 and etc.but none of them got that much airplay.

Panel changes and AI adjustments make it too difficult to compare two songs' AI peaks over an extended period of time. It's possibly "Somebody" could have made it similar to the height back then if AI was structured similarly to the way it is today.

STIUTK also didn't cross over to as many formats at the same time as BL has. The main reason BL is this high is because it is at the top, or very near it, at many formats at the exact same time.

BL could actually break it by Sunday (even tho Mediabase's overall airplay doesnt have official Sunday peaks...it can be whenever). It's going to be super close.

I believe streaming is still a bit off at the moment. On this week's chart "Safe and Sound" is just now debuting and "Gangnam Style" is still top 10. But I do agree that as time goes on, streaming will become more and more tuned into what people really love to listen to and it should become a bigger component on the chart. They still play it in spin class like its new. And the streaming isnt off. Its what people are actually listening to. This stuff is beyond tracked. You just dont agree with the result. Its possible the sales might be higher if it wasnt for streaming.

Is that the smallest increase yet for "Blurred Lines"?
"Clarity's" really regained its footing.

What I meant was that there's still a large portion of people who don't stream yet, so the figures for streaming today are reminiscent of digital sales in 2005.

Billboard.com Over on the Hot Digital Songs chart, there is little movement in the top 10. So little movement, that only four songs shift places—barely. No. 1 again is Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines," featuring T.I. & Pharrell. The smash single sells another 340,000 downloads, down by 11% for the week. Its total sales now stand at 3.6 million.
Miley Cyrus' "We Can't Stop" holds at No. 2 (208,000; down 3%) while Imagine Dragons' "Radioactive" rises 4-3 with 173,000 (though it's down by 4%). Jay Z's "Holy Grail," featuring Timberlake, falls one spot to No. 4 with 166,000 (down 16%).
Florida Georgia Line's "Cruise" stays its course at No. 5 with 138,000 (down 13%), Daft Punk's "Get Lucky," featuring Pharrell Williams, is also a non-mover at No. 6 with 132,000 (down 16%). Anna Kendrick's "Cups," from "Pitch Perfect," rises a position to No. 7 with 122,000, the only sales gain in the top 10. (The song is up by 1%.)
Bruno Mars' "Treasure" slips a spot to No. 8 with 116,000 (down 11%), followed by two titles from Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. First, their "Same Love," featuring Mary Lambert, holds at No. 9 with 111,000 (down 6%). Then, at No. 10—for another week—is the duo's "Can't Hold Us" (featuring Ray Dalton) with 97,000 (down 15%).
This is the first week since the Feb. 16 chart where the No. 10 title sold fewer than 100,000 copies.
Digital track sales this past week totaled 22.84 million downloads, up less than 1% compared with last week (22.78 million) and down 7% stacked next to the comparable week of 2012 (24.5 million). Year-to-date track sales are at 752.2 million, down 3% compared with the same total at this point last year (773.5 million).

As huge as BL is, it's only halfway there of beating Call Me Maybe in sales for example. Interesting to see how much his album will sell but I don't understand why it's been delayed for so long.

Meh at 'Clarity'-possibly my least fav. song of the summer no idea why it continues to smash- beyond bland, flat and forgettable Safe and Sound (while doing well and gaining) is MILES better and should be getting better updates than a hollow song like Clarity lol. Thrilled Treasure is still seeing decent gains (and hoping its climbs at least a notch on the Hot 100) and unfortunate that BL didnt get a 2-3+ million update lol for possibly the first time. I think it's just a temporary day fluke. Like some say, it may be peaking on pop (I guess because there's only so much more it gain)? Hopefully HOT AC and the other formats keep it in or around 1-2 million in gains for the next several weeks.

I read that as it said "barely No. 1 again" and was so confused on why Billboard thought a 132k lead was being "barely" number one.

BL's digital life is still far far from being over.

7th week at #1 for "Blurred Lines", damn will it beat "We Found Love"?
This and STIUTK have such a broad crossover appeal, I think I saw BL at #1 on a dozen of Billboard charts.
