Over three years now after its release as a single, Reba just released a lyric video for "Back to God" featuring Jesus Jamz singer Lauren Daigle. Perfect timing for what we need to hear right now, if you ask me.

Reba has re-released the video to her 1997 single "What If" to recognize our current situation: Yasssss, it's so nice to finally have a high-quality version of this video instead of those unofficial versions that look like they were filmed on a calculator!!!! Edit: Wait OMG this isn't just re-released, it is partially redone!!! The portions of her singing are the same, but they cut all the footage of old world issues and spliced in new footage from our modern pandemic. This is really well done!!

Years ago, this was in support of the Salvation Army's Kettle Drive (I remember this premiering at an NFL Thanksgiving game). I'm sure that another charity will benefit from it now.

ORIGINAL 1997 video with original footage is now posted from Reba's channel on YouTube!!! I’ve always loved this song and video so I’m thrilled that they are rereleasing this 20 years after the original. I’d really love for them to put this on streaming services and be available for purchase so hopefully something is in the works for that, but it might be that there is some red tape involved with it being a cover. Anyways, I never would’ve thought that a song like this would be so relevant for where we are at in this time.

I hadn’t thought to check iTunes for it being available to purchase...but there it is! When I search for it in Apple Music, though, it doesn’t seem to be available for streaming with that service but I of course could be mistaken.

I was lucky enough to get advance copies of the new books that Lauren Akins (Live in Love) and Sara Evans (Born to Fly) having coming out this fall. I'll report back once I read them, if anyone wants to know how they are. Live in Love by Lauren Akins: It's very real and honest about everything. It felt she kind of dragged on a bit about her childhood, her friends circle and growing up in the church. BUT those details circle back around several times over the rest of the book where she talks about dating and marrying Thomas Rhett, struggling with her career and success starting a family and their struggles in their marriage after kids. like I had no idea about the last part but they did a lot of therapy and a stay at onsite after ada was born. all in all this book was really good. very honest. it shows a side to her and Thomas rhett that Instagram doesn't get to see really. it comes with an religous overtone. but over all good book. born to fly by sara evans: the book feels a little rambly at times. like she will start on one thing and get off track with another story before getting back to the point she was on. she kind of glazed over her first husband. she talked about him but never named him. she basically called him "the waiter" from when she moved to Nashville, talked about how he kind of tricked her into moving to Oregon by saying he was going home for the summer and wanted her to come with him. didnt really talk about their marriage just they moved back to Nashville, signed her deal, put an album out and had avery then mentioned the two girls. mostly glazed over a lot of her career and everything in the born to fly era which to me is when things took off for her. only thing that felt real so far, that I didn't know as a big fan of her over a several year span, was her talking about her anxiety and PTSD that flared up in 2005 when her marriage started crumbling. she was honest about that and working herself to death at the release of real fine place era and felt she didnt have her husband (ex now) help with the kids. she was starting to get paranoid after her tour wrapped in december 2005, afraid to leave her house or even go room to room in her house. she focused a lot on her bible. adding she talked about her time on dancing with the stars. stated thing blew up one night with her ex, she said she needed off the show and her marriage ended. she talked about how depressed she was and it was hard for like a page then next chapter jumped into meeting her current husband. I'm not saying I expected full blown details on her first marriage and divorce but it just felt very glazed over and ignored. she had so much she could have spoken about with it that isnt a blow by blow account of everything. but she kind of wrote a few pages on how it was hard then jumped into the next thing about jay. part two (it is called part two) of the book she covered random things and gave her advice and opinions on things like blended families, dieting, divorce (how to tell the kids), etc. tldr; if you want to read a glossy, sugarcoated version of Sara's life this one if for you. It lacked a lot to me because it felt very much like Sara was trying to maintain a whole perfect look in life even though she wasnt obviously. I went in expecting honesty like Lauren had and didnt get it. maybe it's on me. but yes the book is very glossy and sugarcoated. take that as you will.

Autumn is Reba's niece...daughter of Reba's brother Pake. A lot of talent in that McEntire clan. Must be something in the Oklahoma water. Thanks for the answer!

1) that pic of Barbra Mandrell looks eerily like Bonnie Tyler if you ask me. Maybe it's the hair lol
2) I imagine Runaway June will either add a new woman to the group or stick around as a duo much like Sugarland did and thus continue on with the Luke tour.

I highly doubt there will be a Luke tour for them to be on. Kenny just canceled all his shows for 2020 and I can't imagine any artists having any (especially ones of any decent size).
