Man, it have been 16 years since Freddy Finger died, but Clay took an old hit by him, and turned this into a great duet. Gotta love autocorrect. I was like who the f*ck is Freddy Finger? Freddy Finger was huge on the indicator chart.

Latest TikTok viral country song Not sure it belongs to country charts. The song reminds of something Meghan Trainor would sing on the pop charts.

I mean this song sounds like something that could be played on country radio in 2020 and really to my ears doesn't sound like a Meghan Trainor song. It is labelled country so therefore it is country and is blowing up big Also lol at mentioning Meghan Trainor as a comparison since Meghan Trainor has been irrelevant for years now.

Colter Wall's new single, a remake of Marty Robbin's #1 hit on the pop and country charts of "Big Iron."

What a sad way to start off the Christmas week. I’ve long been a fan of hers and it was probably about this time two years ago that I was listening to the song “80’s Ladies” which ended up being the inspiration for my very first rankdown. That of course was the ‘80s Ladies of Country Music which turned into a four part series. RIP K.T. and thank you for the memories.

K.T. was such a fantastic artist. And one of the greatest personalities in Country's history. I'm glad we were lucky enough they let a 45 year old woman get a hit back in 1987 and she returned the favor by giving us 6 flawless albums and one of the most iconic music videos! I will be spinning her entire discography today! RIP 80's Lady!

K.T. Oslin is soooooo underrated, she’s a legend of country music! I had no clue she was that old, I thought maybe she was in her 60s - but I didn’t know she was in her 40s back when she “made it”.
RIP to another legend... :(

I didn't even know she had Parkinson's or was living in an assisted living home for the last few years. To know that she was struggling so much and then proceeded to contract COVID last week, all while living inside one of those facilities, is that much more devastating. Huge bummer.

Do you have a link to any source that might suggest this will be promoted to any specific radio format? Or is this just a link to a track off Colter Wall's last album that you happen to like?

K.T. Oslin was like a musical God to me. I only put 3 artists in my personal file at that standing...KT, Dolly, and Reba. I was lucky enough to fly to see one of her final shows in 2013 in Franklin, TN her 25th anniversary concert. It was a night of dreams coming true. I got to meet her and tell her how much she meant to me and got me thru my teen years. I made a fan website about her called "The Diva of Country Music" when I was in High school and KT herself found out about it and contacted me to thank me. I'm devastated. I wish she would have made the Hall of Fame when she was still alive. I know she'll be there eventually.

I was sitting on traffic checking my phone on the way home from work when I read the news. Not a good place to be getting news your hero is dead. I'm still in shock it'll take awhile to process. I remember in 1996 when I was 16 watching CMT and a song called "Silver Tongue and Gold Plated Lies" came on with a woman whose voice I'd never heard anything like. It was of course KT. Within a week I had bought everything she ever put out and was obsessed with learning all about her. Then in high school in computer class I started the website that in those early day of the internet was one of the few places online to read about KT. It got very popular. I was floored when KT emailed me. It was like Christmas. I studied her lyric and how she wrote her music. I never thought I'd see her live cause she had stopped touring but I took advantage of that rare opportunity in 2013 and she was everything I imagined she'd be and more. I was hoping she'd be around well into her 80s and go out as an 80s lady in her 80s...or 90s even better, but fate wouldn't let her make it past 78. Such a sad day. I'll listen to her the rest of my life.

The Roots charts that listed under Folk which is more country ballads. It is a follow up to his hit Happy Reunion. His style is more of the Woody Guthrie, Gene Autry, Marty Robbins of the 20s to 50s. His sound is more of the classical country.

Folk sounds like country, and could even pass for country most times. It is not country. And what the f**k is a Roots chart?! I've never heard of such a thing.

The roots chart is probably as relevant as the Indicator chart

Ok moving on.
I like the cover Colter does here, but I don't think it adds anything to the song. Hard to do with such classic songs. Sometimes it's just enough to do it justice.

Lady A (the band) candidly discuss the name change and everything to do with that while plugging the deluxe edition of On This Winter's Night:

Latest TikTok viral country song Okay this song is still connecting in a huge way as it has been about 2 and a half weeks since this was released and this sits at #33 all genre on iTunes and is selling on par with the latest singles from Niko Moon, Gabby Barrett, and Thomas Rhett. I really hope she gets a record label deal and this gets a radio push just due to the fact this song is connecting in a huge way due to Tik Tok

Read an interview with Tim from Billboard and he said this will be his new single. The article also said that a deluxe edition of "Here On Earth" featuring this song will be released this spring.

Ugh. I am not nearly as high on "7500 OBO" as everyone else is but I really hope if this new collab is the next single it doesn't bite Tim McGraw in the butt since it seemed like the label was pretty damn close to having "7500 OBO" as the next single.
