^ the genius interview was so fun to watch. I'm also going through some writer's blocks so it's actually motivating to know that she went through the same thing with this project.
Also dead @ Jazzy initially wanted Ari to remove the "spit on it" line. I'm glad she didn't because that was a moment. (For those wanting to know what happened, it starts around 10:54 in the video clip).

LOL at the spit discussion. I agree with Jazzy though, and I appreciate that she kept the real of it in. That's how people feel and that's how they talk, and I'm glad they didn't hold back or tried to clean it up.
I'm happy her mom is in remission.

I'm not holding my breath for yet another project/EP/album (whatever she calls it) this year. One thing that Jazmine doesn't do is to release albums with short intervals, lmao. Plus, she mentioned several possibilities on social media with regard to Heaux Tales, including a deluxe edition, a music film with Issa Rae, and a "Pricetags" remix with Mary J, and I think RCA will be willing to invest this time around, based on how this era has been doing on streaming and radio. So a new single or remix will likely drop hopefully this summer. (btw: Heaux Tales RD is open now. Come over, heauxes!) |
