The Cookies were Little Eva's backup singers. The Beatles would later go on to cover this track.

Scandalous! Gerry Goffin had an affair and child with Jeanie McCrae, a member of the Cookies. All this is according to the book "Girls Like Us." I like this song. It's not one of my favorites by them because it's so, pardon the pun, cookie-cutter bluesy. But it's fun and I kind of like to think this song was a precursor to Rihanna's "S&M."
