Written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David, this catchy (though decidedly not feminist) song hit #6 on the Hot 100 in 1964. Surprisingly, it was a flop in the UK.
Ani Difranco did an ironic cover which I quite like and which was used over the opening credits of the Julia Roberts smash My Best Friend's Wedding in 1997. I've included the musical vignette from the film below.

I love me some Dusty and I certainly love me some Bacharach/David ... but man, do the lyrics of this song make you cringe a little bit today
