They just add part of Juicy J's rap to begging of the song, rest arrangement is basically the same, when everyone is expecting a No Rap or Rapless version, they managed to deliver a "More-Rap" version. But...actually, there is a No Rap version digitally delivered in several European countries last week.

^ I thought it was Feb 20 (tomorrow)?
--
Over on the Digital Songs chart, Pharrell's "Happy" takes over the No. 1 slot, selling 329,000 downloads for the week (up 31%, rising 2-1). It bumps Perry's "Dark Horse," featuring Juicy J, down to No. 2 with 277,000 (down 5%). (Total for Dark Horse stands at 3,256,000)
--
Dark Horse becomes Perry's 10th 3-million seller in the US, trailing in 2nd place behind Rihanna (who has 12):
Firework, 6.4 million E.T., 5.6 million California Gurls, 5.5. million Hot N Cold, 5.4 million Roar, 4.9 million Teenage Dream, 4.6 million I Kissed A Girl 4.4 million Last Friday Night, 3.4 million Dark Horse, 3.3 million Wide Awake, 3.1 million Part of Me, 2.7 million The One That Got Away, 2.7 million Waking Up in Vegas, 2.2 million Thinking of You, 1.1 million Unconditionally, 0.9 million
** Roar should be crossing the 5 million mark this week or next. We will see when Paul's Chart Watch is published later.

Also worth noting:
Unconditionally (preview) - 3,719,000 views in three months Dark Horse (preview) - 3,254,000 views in 6 days

Katy Perry's "Dark Horse," featuring Juicy J, scores a fourth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, although Pharrell Williams' "Happy" gallops closer with across-the-board-gains as it holds at No. 2.
Perry's ninth Hot 100 No. 1 (and Juicy J's first) continues its command, aided most notably by its coronation (2-1) on the Radio Songs airplay chart, where it gains by 8% to 143 million audience impressions, according to Nielsen BDS. "Horse" marks Perry's seventh Radio Songs No. 1, tying her with Usher for the third-best sum in the chart's 23-year history. Rihanna leads with 12 toppers, followed by Mariah Carey (11). (Read on for more about Carey on this week's Hot 100.) "Horse" crowns the subscription services-based On-Demand Songs chart (3 million U.S. streams, down 1%, according to BDS) for a sixth week and holds at No. 3 on Streaming Songs (which it led three weeks ago) with 6.2 million streams (down 5%). It descends 1-2 after five weeks atop Digital Songs, with a 5% decline to 277,000 downloads sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
While "Horse" trots into the Hot 100's winner's circle again, Pharrell's "Happy" is fast on the move, holding at No. 2 for a second week with Airplay Gainer honors for a fourth straight week and Digital Gainer kudos for a second frame. "Happy" becomes Williams' first Digital Songs No. 1 (2-1) as a lead artist (and third overall), as it swells by 31% to 329,000 downloads sold. It concurrently storms 10-4 on Radio Songs (109 million, up 27%); 11-7 on Streaming Songs (4.4 million, up 19%); and 11-4 on On-Demand Songs (1.9 million, up 21%). "Happy" also spends a second week at No. 1 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. Clearly, the stage is set for another fierce battle for No. 1 on next week's Hot 100. "Horse" drops by 1% in overall points and "Happy" hikes by 28%, with "Horse" now boasting a slim 5% points lead. Last week, "Horse" finished first over "Happy" by a 30% margin.

Despite Williams' surge and Perry's decline, however, Perry releases the official video for "Horse" tomorrow (Feb. 20), so the clip is sure to boost the song's streaming totals when next week's Hot 100 is compiled, ultimately adding an interesting angle in next week's race for the top spot. (Looking further ahead, Williams will perform "Happy" at the Oscars on March 2. The track is nominated for best original song.)

With the video release I think she'll easily jump to 10-12 million streams for the next week. That should be enough for a 5th week at #1.

I guess Katy is getting a bit of revenge on Pharrell from last summer's Blurred Lines blocking her at #2 for a couple of weeks ;)

Watched her on the Brits performing this, wasn't great and i like Katy, she was out of time with the playback at some parts so like a split second after she sang you would hear it in the background.
She was also presenting an award and shamelessly plugged her tour which was quite cringeworthy.

It just features an extra Juicy J verse at the beginning instead of the first verse. Here's a clip: fblaz.in/Bt8Gg6

That remix without Juicy J was amazing. Seriously. Can they release that officially? I would listen to the song a lot more without the Juicy J Part... blaaaaaah.
I'm super excited for the video. She's so awesome with her stuff, visually.

So if Dark Horse can get 7 weeks at #1, which seems likely if the video is good, then she'll be half way there. Hope she can pull it off.

I really don't think there is any chance of Dark Horse getting more than 5 weeks at #1. The week after next, Happy will have the Grammys performance boost and honestly. Even without the Grammys Happy would still be most likely to take #1 then.

I don't think that alone would be enough considering how much she's fallen behind in sales, but if the video gives a good sales boost then I think she'll get the 5th week at least, and maybe the 6th but it'll be tough.
