Drake's drop off isn't surprising, Take Care looked like it would sell well over 700k in its first projections. That said, it doesn't stop the impressiveness of his sales one bit. He has truly carved a dedicated fanbase for himself. He hasn't dropped at all. Each album sold more 1st week than the last. By dropoff, I meant the initial first week predictions when the album is released and the final number.

I'm sure it will count toward pt. 2 at a minimum. I was under the impression that they were packaging the deluxe as a double disc so in that case it would make the most sense to count it as one sale toward each. i.e., if the double disc version sells 50,000 copies, pt. 1 sells 30,000 individual copies, and pt. 2 sells 400,000 individual copies, then pt. 1 will have sold 80k and pt. 2 will have sold 450k. (numbers pulled out of my ass solely for example purposes; not an actual attempt at an estimate). We'll know for sure when we see where pt. 1 lands in sales next week.
Oh, I just thought about this - how did they count The Fame/Fame Monster bundle? However that was resolved is likely how 20/20's situation will be handled.

Yah, I'd think it will be treated like The Fame and The Fame Monster.
No Miley Cyrus in the circulars, eh?

He really has left a deep penetration within his fans for them to still be buying his cds at numbers like this for this album. I'm happy but surprised I thought with the singles so far he would sell less.

Its a good song but nothing major an example u will understand its a 6incher as opposed to a 8incher (song only, Drake is more 4incher)

Icona Pop. I knew their album would flop but damn. The album should have been released at the peak popularity "I Love It".

There were three versions of the Fame/Monster released, and they charted as The Fame and The Fame Monster EP.
I suppose the sales of The 20/20 Experience will be lumped in with the Complete Experience, but isn't that a totally new title? I guess The Complete Experience will just chart as The 20/20 Experience, and pt. 2 will chart by itself.
Although, it is odd to have Part 2 chart as a standalone release and not Part 1.

Oops- that's right. Thanks, Nick. The audio samples got me to thinking it was out this coming week, for some reason- when I should have known, with the discussion about it topping second-week numbers for Timberlake's album.

Happy for Cher! I thought she was the only woman in the top 10. Just realized Krewella is a trio of 2 women and a man. Not familiar with their music.

Being a Madonna fan, I get the whole Express Yourself, don't Repress Yourself, but continuous statements about Drake and other music being crap really is not going to accomplish anything. If you purchased Cher and Elton, then you did your duty to support "superior" music. By the way, I also don't like rap, or even care for Drake, though, I do love his new single.

I would never purchase a Drake album either, but I won't insult his fans by saying his music sucks. I like a few of his new songs, been listening on Spotify.

On Hits Daily Double, Drake sold more than the next 24 albums combined. I wanted to check how "No Strings Attached" did by that measure, but that album came out a couple of weeks before the beginning of Hits Daily Double's archives.
