Then I'll add another post here. Does anyone think Justin Moore's solo single will be hurt by his vocal collaboration between Brantley Gilbert and Thomas Rhett? I sincerely doubt it. This seems to have been doing fine and will take advantage of a nice placement on the charts ahead of any strong competition. It should make it to No. 1 on at least one of the charts, though I'd like to see this one become his fourth #1 at Billboard. I feel like I can't escape hearing this one on radio right now and even though I'm tiring of it for that reason, it is a tune that I enjoy, especially compared to other lightweight songs by his peers that are more grating and less country than this. The only reason I asked that is because Brantley Gilbert just came off of a #1 with Bottoms Up and Thomas Rhett did the same with Get Me Some Of That. Of course, Valory would not have Gilbert competing with himself. He certainly is not Luke Bryan where his label and another label can release singles that have Bryan on them. Justin Moore STILL has a single climbing the chart and like you, I would love to see Moore get another chart topper. He would be moving one step closer for me to include him on the list of those artists with the most #1s.

Does anyone think Justin Moore's solo single will be hurt by his vocal collaboration between Brantley Gilbert and Thomas Rhett? onebuffalo, this song is virtually a lock to hit #1. Brett will be #1 on both charts on Monday, and Justin should be #1 on both charts on Monday the 23rd. I don't think his next solo single will struggle due to "Small Town Throwdown" either...most likely, Justin's next single will be another slow-climber, but a pretty big hit in the end.. Anyway, I actually despise this song, and I can't believe at how much Justin has lucked out here (well, I can believe it, but still). He's clearly got a large fan-base, as evidenced by his strong album sales, but this song hasn't sold well at all (neither did "Point At You", and it's odd because the 3 singles from his last album all went Gold, even "Bait A Hook" and that one didn't even make the top 15). I think its success at radio is more a testament to Valory's promotion efforts, as well as the fact that Justin is still a semi-new artist (or a New Artist, in the eyes of the ACM's... Anyway...) and therefore radio allows him to chart for a seemingly endless number of weeks, and the same goes for Brett. This song moved very slowly throughout the teens, but I never had any doubt it would do well given the above explanation (strong label, ability to chart for many weeks as radio still views him as a 'new' artist). He stayed far enough behind the heavy-hitters and far enough ahead of the next big batch (those from Jake, Blake, and Chris) and now he'll have a wide open window to the #1 spot because of it, whereas Miranda ran into the massive hit that was "Play It Again", and a song like "Cop Car" wasn't allowed to chart for more than 20 weeks despite having great sales (certainly much better than Justin's). I want to like Justin, I really do, because he seems to be more traditionally-minded when it comes to his music than a lot of his peers do (and lord knows we need some more traditional country music on the airwaves). But so many of his songs have had lyrics that were terrible to average at best, and this is another instant station-changer for me.

^I agree. He has some of the weakest material out there, but still manages to hit it big practically every time.

I guess there won't be a third single. According to Taste of Country, his next single will be "Home Sweet Home" from the Motley Crue tribute CD. His CD is incredible but there really isn't much radio friendly material. @brian, there will be more singles from Off The Beaten Path. The term 'single' is thrown around pretty often these days, and in this case, "Home Sweet Home" will probably be a digital single and not one that's fully promoted to radio. jhomes87, you might want to read this!!! @brian, is right, according to this, Justin says "Home Sweet Home" will be the next single to be released to radio!!!! Justin Moore to Release Motley Crue Cover as Next Radio Single- Posted June 12th Justin Moore says his version of Motley Crue‘s ‘Home Sweet Home’ will be his next single to radio. The singer walked the red carpet with Crue lead singer Vince Neil last Wednesday at the CMT Awards. The two are also rumored to have filmed a music video together. Moore’s version of ‘Home Sweet Home’ will be part of the ‘Nashville Outlaws: A Tribute to Motley Crue‘ album when it’s released August 19 (pushed back from July 8). Moore tells Taste of Country Nights host Sam Alex he also liked ‘Don’t Go Away Mad’ for his contribution, but the Eli Young Band ultimately ended up recording that rock song. Neil has been a part of two major country events in 2014, including the 2014 ACM Awards in Las Vegas last April. He presented at the 2014 CMT Awards. Expect more from the pair as the single gets closer to an official release. Currently, ‘Lettin’ the Night Roll’ is a Top 5 hit on country radio. That's interesting. I still can't imagine that they won't release any more singles from Off The Beaten Path though. Also, even though it says "radio single", I'm not sure I quite believe it just yet, as it's from Taste Of Country after all. Sometimes these days, somebody can say the word "single" and the person/organization they're talking to will automatically assume 'radio' single but that's not always the case nowadays. I'd be curious to hear the actual audio of Justin's interview to get his exact words and to learn more as to whether this will be an officially promoted, full-out single to radio or if the label will kind of treat it like they've done with a couple tunes from the Nashville soundtracks (such as "Telescope" from Hayden Panetierre). Or maybe rsmatto knows something? Anyway, Off The Beaten Path has sold about 300k and that's a pretty strong number based off two hits that were big but not 'huge'. His first 2 albums wound up selling between 550-600k. I would think Valory will want this new album to go Gold as well but it certainly won't get there without at least a 3rd single. Off The Beaten Path was only released last September and they released a deluxe version on the same day, but I wouldn't put it past Big Machine to re-issue Justin's album with a couple of added tracks, that way they could use "Home Sweet Home" to promote both the Motley Crue tribute album as well as Off The Beaten Path. Personally, I'm not sure how I feel about a Motley Crue cover as his next solo single. Don't get me wrong, I really like "Home Sweet Home" and I think it's a better song than any that Justin and any of his co-writers have ever come up with (I don't think there are any stand-out songs on his album), so I'd definitely be interested in hearing Justin's version of it. However, I'm not sure how radio will view the situation...will they treat it as a lead single, or will it climb rather slowly like Justin's other material? And, since it's a cover song from a tribute album, would that hold it back any?

Funny how Ten Pound Hammer just said today that it was odd how this thread only had one page yet was a top 5 single. But now we have a story to talk about. I'm not sure what to think. It's pretty strange for BMLG and Valory to do this sort of thing. It doesn't seem to make much sense business wise to me. Like jhomes87 said, his new album has sold fairly well and a third single after two #1 singles (I too think "Lettin' The Night Roll" is a lock at #1 right now) would certainly help it achieve that Gold status. To me this only works if they do a re-issue of Off The Beaten Path. I just can't believe they would try something like this without a strong notion that radio will jump all over this. I'll wait to hear the remake and actually see this go far adds before making any final judgments on how this will turn out. BTW: Now my favorite song released to country radio in the past decade will be even more overshadowed than it already was..."Home Sweet Home" by The Farm.

I think you might have hit the nail in the coffin. A re-release with a popular song like a cover of "Home Sweet Home" could really help boost the album sales to reach Gold status. I still think there are some good single choices left on Off The Beaten Path, but maybe there is really good early feedback on his cover.

I see them promoting "Home Sweet Home" and releasing future versions of "Off The Beaten Path" with that song tacked onto it and rolling with a final "4th" single off of "OTBP" after that.

Justin gets his 4th #1 on Billboard Country Airplay! One more chart topper and I'll be able to put Justin Moore's name on the list of those with the most #1s. Could happen this year!

He's on the chart with Brantley Gilbert and Thomas Rhett singing "Small Town Throwdown"! I am anticipating that collaboration to hit #1, so Brantley Gilbert will have his fourth #1, Thomas Rhett his third, and Justin Moore his fifth.
