www.billboard.com/biz/articles/news/5777998/chart-moves-def-leppard-donna-summer-return-to-billboard-200-chartChart Moves: Def Leppard, Donna Summer Return to Billboard 200 Chart By Keith Caulfield, Los Angeles | November 01, 2013 9:00 AM EDT This week on the Billboard 200 albums chart, Katy Perry climbed in at No. 1 with her new album "PRISM," selling 286,000 copies in its first week. It was one of four new arrivals to the top 10, which also boasted bows from Fifth Harmony, DJ Khaled and AFI. Katy Perry's 'Prism' Debuts at No. 1 on Billboard 200 Chart, Has 2013's Largest Sales Week For a Female Artist But of course there were a number of movers and shakers outside the top 10, as usual. Let's take a look at some of them… -- Def Leppard, "Viva Hysteria: Live at the Joint, Las Vegas" (No. 24): Def Leppard returns to the Billboard 200 chart this week, scoring its 16th charting album with the arrival of "Viva Hysteria: Live at the Joint, Las Vegas." The independently released live set opens at No. 24 on the chart, selling 10,000 copies in its first week. It also launches at No. 3 on the Independent Albums chart. The release was also available as a home video, on DVD and blu-ray. The video equivalent of the album arrives at No. 3 on Music Video Sales, moving 2,000 copies. "Viva Hysteria" chronicles Def Leppard's 11-date residency at the Hard Rock Casino and Hotel in March and April, where the band played its mega-selling No. 1 “Hysteria” album in its entirety at each show (plus assorted rarities and other tunes). -- Andrea Bocelli, "Love In Portofino" (No. 40): The tenor's latest release debuts at No. 40 and also opens at No. 1 on Classical Crossover Albums (7,000) -- his tenth leader on that tally. It extends his lead for the most toppers on that list, ahead of Sarah Brightman's seven No. 1s. -- Il Volo, "Buon Natale: The Christmas Albums (No. 55): Speaking of Classical Crossover chart (see Bocelli, above), Il Volo nets its ninth top 10 album on that tally with the debut of "Buon Natale." (It enters at No. 2 on that list, and No. 55 on the Billboard 200.) Since the trio debuted on the Classical Crossover chart on April 30, 2011, no act comes close to the number of top 10s in that span of time. -- The Neighbourhood, "I Love You" (No. 90): The band has been a model of consistency with this album, having sold between 3,000 and 5,000 in every week since mid-June. The set's latest single, "Afraid," rises 19-17 on Alternative airplay this week. The Neighbourhood’s former No. 1, "Sweater Weather," slips 8-7 -- its 30th week in the top 10. -- Donna Summer, "Love to Love You Donna" (No. 97): Donna Summer's new remix album, "Love to Love You Donna," takes a bow at No. 2 on Dance/Electronic Albums and No. 97 on the Billboard 200, selling 4,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan. It's the first new release from the late pop diva since her death in May of 2012 -- barring greatest hits compilations. She last debuted with a non-hits package in 2008 with "Crayons," the final studio album she released during her lifetime. It debuted and peaked at No. 17 on the chart. The new Verve remix album offers reworkings of some of her most familiar hits, refreshed by producers like Afrojack, Frankie Knuckles, Masters at Work and Hot Chip. The album also sports one new, previously unreleased track, "La Dolce Vita." The song is a collaboration with Giorgio Moroder, who co-produced most of Summer's albums released between 1975 and 1980. -- Anoushka Shankar, "Traces Of You" (No. 185): After three previous entries on the World Albums chart, Shankar nabs her first No. 1, as "Traces of You" launches atop the list with 2,000 (her best sales week since 2005). It also bows at No. 185 on the Billboard 200. On World Digital Songs, three of the sets tunes (which feature her half-sister Norah Jones) debut.

Ugh. Sales are so horrible this year. Streaming these songs/albums weeks before the label decides to physically & digitally release them are playing a huge role in this decline.

And the fact you can basically Google any album and put the word "download" at the end of it and get the link and have it instantly for free.

And the fact you can basically Google any album and put the word "download" at the end of it and get the link and have it instantly for free. That's the thing; if songs weren't streamed & shared online prior to its release date, downloading the song/album for free would be that much harder to get. Of course its bound to happen regardless how long you wait for it once when someone get a hold of it.

Taylor and Kendrick's album are being awarded for being on the BB200 for 1 chart year and the Eminem's award should have been 4x Platinum for being on for 3 chart weeks (157 weeks)

Considering X Factor's lousy rating, Fifth Harmony really did well for them

Considering X Factor's lousy rating, Fifth Harmony really did well for them When I saw them open for Cher Lloyd, the audience lost their minds over them. I remember their choreography being very basic, but they sounded good and most importantly, their new material was all pretty good. I have to pick up their EP.
