I'm fine with that, but in my opinion, add in Despacito I don't think so. It's going to have at most 9 weeks in the 20-35 range in 2018.

One thing that I think we should be remembering is that Swalla and Magnolia and actually the entire clump between 88 and 98 were all calculated with a different point system and given like an x.8 or .9 multiplier. So if you take that off then they are all more like 180000 to 190000 and I remember from Ride$'s earlier predictions before the multiplier was put into place Party had 183000 and Dirt On My Boots had 189000. So judging by those standards Crew is gonna miss and Do Re Mi and Havana are both gonna be kinda close. Even I Get The Bag is just barely gonna squeeze in there. Also looks like Look What You Made Me Do is gonna finish at 34 which is kinda embarassing

I'm sure most of it is pretty close it's just that the songs at the end of the year are gonna be lower than they're predicted. For example Small Town Boy isn't gonna be above Swalla, Magnolia, or Slippery.

If that's the case this year, songs that peaked in December, January, and early February (Closer, Starboy, Bad And Boujee, Black Beatles) are gonna be higher on the YE chart since these songs usually had much lower points thanks to last year's formula reducing the overall points in 15-20% compared to 2017's formula. Using this year's formula Black Beatles would've had almost 80k points during its peak.

I *think* it was. Its streaming numbers were insane in its 2nd/3rd week at #1. I'm not sure because no one knows the exact formula that Billboard used between Febuary 2016-February 2017. Despacito had 75,900 using simm's formula.

15% wow that's crazy, this year end list would be completely broken if they left that discrepancy in. It seems like it's always the years that end in a 7 doesn't it...
Side note 2005 was actually even worse. Check this out.
Wonderful: 6-7-8-8-8-8-9-14-16-23-47-55-78. Finishes at 94 Because Of You: 99-61-43-34-23-21-14-9-9-8-8-7-8 Finishes at 72 ok billboard what's going on

While I am glad that Shape Of You is all but confirmed number 1, I'm a bit sad its last weeks will be wasted.

^ But it will already be #1 for this year, so including those extra weeks obviously couldn't bring it any higher for any one year. Unless you're referring to it making the YE list for more than one year, but since it likely won't chart for more than 52 weeks, the only way that would happen would be it possibly sacrificing its #1 rank this year, so it would be like #3 this year and #90 the next. I don't want to go through all the point calculations, but I guess it's possible that if only a few weeks were shaved off this year and went to next year, it might still be able to be #1 this year and chart the next. But for me, I'm good enough having it be #1 this year and that be it.

Is it just me thinking some of this year's top 10 doesn't feel like this year's top 10? I love Believer, but it doesn't feel like big enough hit to be top 10. Same as Body Like A Back Road and Congratulations.

I wouldn't be too surprised if it turns out "do re mi", "crew", and all other songs currently trying to squeeze in end up not making it.

Yeah given all the potential miscalculations + the fact that FOUR people had to work on this year's list I'm not looking forward to an accurate YE chart

NEW Hot 100 Year-End 2017 Predictions - Week 50, dated 11/11/2017 So, after quite sometime trying to figure out why these predictions seemed so off and find a way to fix it, i finally did it last night, by multipling the "affected" points (the ones that got the 0.7 multiplier) by 1.15. Doing it, it came close to Ride$'s first estimates, without those multipliers, so i redid all the songs with "affected" points and some that seemed a bit off too. As of now, it's just a test, because idk if it's going to end up even worse than before, but let's hope not, and at least for me, it seems a lot better now. Tell me what you guys think about it:
Legend * = means that the stat is for the weeks that count to the 2017 Year-End, (Dec. 3, 2016 - Nov. 25, 2017) but the song's chart run is cut between years, so it's peak or chart weeks is different from that. Red = Currently #1 on the Hot 100 Blue = Currently in the Top 10 Green = Currently in the Top 20 Bold = Currently in the Hot 100
