Closer: peak #2 - 17 weeks in top 10 - 37 total weeks - 40-49k points at its peak
Believer: peak #4 - 14 weeks in top 10 - 40 total weeks - 32,600 points at its peak
Closer is bigger than Believer in 2017. Looking at this comparison the new prediction certainly makes more sense.

And it looks like Canโt Stop the Feeling has a better chance to make the first half. Iโll be pulling for that!

Wow Let Me Love You now has a serious shot at being 47 again.
Anyway thanks for the update! Sry if all those other comments got to be a bit much but this one really does make more sense, Magnolia had like 10 weeks at 35 or above and Small Town Boy didn't get there at all. Anyway still a chance for Havana, it needs 32000 per week which is a lot but it's projected to get around there this week.
EDIT: It seems that in addition to there being a ton of songs that didn't make top 30 there's also a bunch of songs that didn't last 20 weeks.

I suppose this has been the year of underperformances by established artists. |

Also just for fun, here's my prediction for the 91-100 spots on the YE list. Some of this is just based off intuition, as I get the feeling our predictions aren't as accurate as last year's, though I do think this new list seems more spot on then the previous one.

Same as Body Like A Back Road and Congratulations. The thing about 2017 is that there were three mega-smashes, and the other songs this year weren't too big. |

The fall that Believer had with the new predictions.  Well, at least this somewhat makes more sense. Closer does feel way bigger than Believer, but I wouldn't say the same for Body Like a Back Road (for example). |
