There is a discrepancy between this thread and jedenpolska's year-end predictions thread about Something Just Like This and how long it spent in the top 10. This one says 17 weeks and the other 18 weeks, so I was just wondering which one is correct.

It jumped to No. 5 on March 18th, dropped out and reentered on April 1st and hung around for 16 consecutive weeks before officially dropping on July 8th. It has 17 weeks overall, I don't know where they got 18 from.

Will What Lovers Do get 12000 points this week?
Looks like Do Re Mi will miss right?
and Havana should make it too right?
and Unfortunately, so is IGTB...
Which means that LAM will be 101. But who knows on actual list if itll make it or miss.

WOO so glad What About Us is in. I know it's been a guarantee for awhile but it's so nice to finally see it. Pink doesn't have the biggest hits anymore but in the midst of songs like Chained To The Rhythm, The Cure, Down, Malibu, Fetish, Swish Swish, and even Look What You Made Me Do all either outright flopping or at best peaking early and falling fast (LWYMMD and CTTR) the fact that Pink was able to get her song to 28 and then keep climbing is pretty astonishing actually. And there were certainly some times when it looked like it would take the Malibu route and fluctuate slowly downwards before a massive drop but that didn't happen which is great. Yeah agreed 100%, this was a very pleasant surprise for me. It seems that if you're a pop diva the easiest way to get a hit is to write slower AC-leaning ballads (unless you're Demi Lovato who is somehow still getting hits in this climate) which is pretty interesting to me. Also you forgot Green Light, Bob Appetit, and Bad Liar. God there were a lot of flops from female pop stars this year.

So Malibu is 100% safe now? I thought it was going to miss it.
I guess there's no hope for What Lovers Do though. How likely is it to make it in 2018? Its run is gonna be split between years.

It could possibly sneak into the bottom 10, and assuming it doesn't suddenly collapse I think it should be good for next year too.

Green Light I indeed forget, I remembered the other two but honestly I think they flopped because they suck, not because of the Pop Diva Purge of 2017. I don't think Bon Appetit would have been a hit in Katy Perry's Prism era in 2014 either. She didn't get every single to become a hit there either, both Birthday and This Is How We Do really tanked because they just didn't take to the public (Birthday is great so I have no idea why in that case, overshadowed by DH I guess). I think Feels is another one that can be added to the list too

Based on simm's prediction for this week over at atrl, BLARB is going recurrent, meaning it will finish at number 9 on the year end chart. I was hopeful it was gonna hold on for at least one more week due to its airplay stabilizing and the small boost it got from the CMA.

"I was hopeful it was gonna hold on for at least one more week"
*blocks*
Okay, that aside, that is a kind of steep drop from #10 to #11. Kind of telling that #10 is a song that peaked at #8 and spent only six weeks in the Top 10. But I'm glad that Something Just Like This is looking to pass Body Like A Back Road, no complaints there =) But hopefully Humble does in fact pass Bad and Boujee D:

To add to the OP, I don't hate B&B that much, I just really want Humble to pass B&B because Kendrick's an established artist and a living legend who really deserves a great chart feat.

Taking a look at simm's predictions, it does seem that Havana, What Lovers Do and I Get the Bag will manage to make it on the last week when combined with @snoopdawg's prediction, which would mean Look at Me!, This Town and Cheap Thrills would miss making it.

Havana would be #98 (188,300), What Lovers Do #94 (192,590), and I Get The Bag #90 (195,750) using simm's predictions, which means The Fighter will be #100

Havana is still 2 and What Lovers Do went up to 9 so I think both of them along with I Get The Bag are in. It looks like Something Just Like This is actually gonna stay ahead of Believer and if Body Like A Back Road goes out then it will be passed by both. Sucks to fall from 7 to 9 in the last week but the song is terrible so...

Since it barely misses the Top 50 in simm's predix, it may still chart tomorrow. I can't wait.

Even if BLABR stays on the chart next week i think it'll end up at #9, and if that formula change is true, IGTB may end up missing it. Well, guess we'll need to wait to see what happens

Using the data frome the bb article, What Lovers Do would have 192,590 (#92), and Havana 191,070 (#94). which means 90. No Promises 91. Small Town Boy 92. What Lovers Do 93. Malibu 94. Havana 95. Down 96. Deja VU 97. Dirt On My Boots 98. The Fighter 99. Look At Me! 100. This Town

Uhh Body Like A Back Road stayed on... that's not good. Guess it's gonna be #7. I mean given the choice between it and Location falling off both are equally trash but I was hoping for BLABR because that would drop it by 2 spots. formula change why

Here's how the contending songs (some of them are clearly not, especially most outside of the top 100) for the 2017 Year-End Hot 100 End ended up in terms of inverse points. This is not meant to show where songs would end up. I'm guessing outside of the top 100, What Lovers Do, Too Good at Goodbyes, Rockstar and Havana will make it, which makes me think 98-100 don't make it, as well as a pick among Party, Cheap Thrills, Dirt on My Boots and No Promises.
