I hope that Look At Me misses as well but even more important than that I just wanna say thanks to snoopdawg for doing these, 2017 was a ridiculously hectic year for predictions and so thanks for being the hero we needed to come in and give us the full year-end 100. Thanks to kcdawg13 too for keeping it alive after Ride$ disappeared, who knows if the 2017 year-end hot 100 predictions would have been finished without that.

I am liking these predictions! Thanks again snoopdawg for being able to do this all for us. =) I can tell that it's taken a lot out of people, which is why we had to go through like four different people.
Also, minor, but DNA had two weeks in the Top 10, not 1.

Oh man, Let Me Love You is soooooo close to equalling it's year-end position from lat year (47). Maybe it will happen.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand The Chainsmokers. The lyrics extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of musical theater most of the lyrics will go over a typical listeners head. There’s also Drew's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his writing- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these lyrics, to realise that they’re not just good- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike The Chainsmokers truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the poetic crones in Drew's existential lyric “Baby pull me closer, in the backseat of your rover,” which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev’s Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Drew Taggert’s genius wit unfolds itself on their radio. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂 And yes, by the way, i DO have a Chainsmokers tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It’s for the ladies’ eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they’re within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid 😎 So is their masterpiece "Young" inspired by the works of Shakespeare and Dostoevsky? :sip2:

It's a copypasta that originated from a Rick & Morty fanboy's post about the series. Anyway, it looks like there won't be much wiggle room for songs to make the top 10 year-end that aren't in that zone in the predictions: quite the bonkers set with a #6 and a #8-peaker in there! Also worth noting that, if this holds true, 7/10 of the final top 10 songs will have also been in the summer top 10, a feat that hasn't been achieved since 2014, another year notable for its long-lasting hits and low volatility.

^ Haha, that explains it. I don't watch that show. (Geez I don't know a lot of TV) Someone else made the same meme about **** ** ** earlier in this thread.
Also, last year's Top 10 had four of the summer Top 10 (One Dance, Panda, CSTF and DLMD). 2015's had five (See You Again, Trap Queen, Shut Up and Dance, Watch Me I think, and The Hills. Uptown Funk fell out on literally the last week). And both Cheerleader and Cheap Thrills were #11 and they're both similar types of song.

@snoopdawg What was Respective Top supposed to mean? it was supposed to mean how many weeks that song spent in it's respective top regarding it's peak, for example: Sign Of The Times peaked at #4, it spent 1 week at the Top 10. Everyday We Lit peaked at #33, it spent 10 weeks at the top 40

Hey snoopdawg where do you have Swish Swish? Please tell me you're joking? Why? Peak #46 10 weeks, it's not that absurd. Crying in the club just had 9 weeks, and a similar peak.

Can someone please tell me why this song Look At Me! is the single most talked about song all year in this thread? A barely top 40 peaking song by a barely up-and-coming rapper largely unknown? Maybe it's just a couple people who keep bringing it up and dominating the discussion about it or something, but it seems that we need to change the title of this thread to "Will Look At Me! make the 2017 Year-End Hot 100?"

It was one of the most controversial hit I've ever heard this year and XXXTENTACION was also accused that Drake took his beat.

If you listen to it, it doesn’t sound like any other top 40 hit this year or ever. X’s style of distorted bass, occasional screaming and vulgar immature lyrics were very hit or miss among a lot of people. XXXTENTACION had huge internet fan base at the beginning of the year which helped popularize the entire SoundCloud rap scenes and he quickly turned into a popular meme. Plus XXXTENTACION is a shit human being who beat up his girlfriend, so people want to see him miss. I hate the guy but I think the song deserves to make the year end because XXXTENTACION was one of the most talked about and year defining artists of 2017
