A 34.5% lead for Uptown Funk. Now tell me again, who were those idiots who doubted my earlier statement? Not to mention a 181% lead over the highest song with even the slightest chance of ever overtaking it on the year-end Well assuming that some super viral video of Blank Space or something doesn't get over a billion views this year lol

Let's go Thinking Out Loud! Although I love Blank Space, I want TOL to overtake it. :)

No doubt Uptown Funk! will be one of the biggest hits of the decade...it's pretty much already guaranteed the longest time at #1 of any song this decade (so far at least) If UF dethrone that atrocity of Party Rock Anthem i will forget that funk is not my type of music at all and apreciate UF a lot more

Hell no! I'd rather have Sugar or Earned It to dethrone Uptown Funk. And to UF, please stop! You already blocked a lot of good songs that also deserved to be on top! (TOL, LMLYD, Sugar)

(TOL, LMLYD, Sugar) It didn't really block LMLYD actually lol...that song has peaked at #3 (and that will probably be its overall peak, though I think it will pass TOL this coming week and return to #3 for a 2 or 3 more weeks before Earned It passes it; I highly doubt it will make it to the top two on the Hot 100 at this point).

Now I believe that Earned It has a chance to dethroned Uptown Funk more.

Daniel, I hate to have to tell you this, but I think your formula is wrong based on Billboard's article of this week's chart, UF decreased by 11%, Sugar decreased by 3%, and Sugar is at about 2/3 points of UF. However, by your numbers, UF -11% and Sugar -3% gives Sugar having 3/4 points of Sugar, which is pretty far from 2/3 as the article says I could be wrong though. Maybe I mixed something up.

Maybe I mixed something up. I have realized this maybe a month ago but I don't have time YET so I'll just keep doing it. Maybe some time in June after school , I would spend a day to get near to the actual formula and edit everything out. But if you'll ask my lazy self, I'll be glad if someone could do it. By the way: Sugar having 3/4 points of Sugar ;)

Glad that Thinking Out Loud will pass Blank Space in two weeks! :) I was hoping Take Me To Church would pass Blank Space too...I guess that TMTC's fall in radio is the reason why it is below BS on the weekly Hot 100...hopefully BS falls faster from here on out so TMTC can pass it on the year-end at least, since it didn't get that weekly #1 :(

Kinda difficult to imagine UF not being year-end #1 at this point lol I'm gonna be really sad if Ghost ends up not making the list :(

Even though I am a big fan of both songs I feel like the only one who wants Blank Space to be higher than Thinking Out Loud if only because Blank Space just simply felt like a bigger hit to me and I'd like if the Year-End chart reflected that

TOL feels bigger to me and a massive mega smash like UF is the only reason it didn't make #1. Don't forget that BS's run in the top 10 is done while TOL is still #3. TOL is only one week away from tying BS's weeks in the top 10 while still being #3. It'll probably end up with quite a few more weeks in the top 10 than BS. And TMTC clearly has been having the better longevity as BS fell below it on its way down (I hope it can return to that). BS is guaranteed year-end top 10 at this point. Top 5 is possible but not too likely. TOL has a much better chance at year-end top 5.

I just now realized how long TOL has been in the top 10 lol maybe that's why it didn't feel as big as BS to you - because you forget about TOL's longevity

Longevity is important when determining how huge a song is, but to me not the deciding one although I see why it may be to some.

It is the exact same as how Shake It Off blocked Anaconda, Fancy blocked Problem, Rude blocked Stay With Me, etc.

Problem and SWM were very successful too, but idk why you brought that up as that doesn't really have to do with what I was talking about...overall, TOL feels bigger than BS (regardless of peak position) and clearly has better longevity on the chart than BS.

In any case I wanted Blank Space at #1 because is absolutely perfect, but UF will be 1 at year-end for sure so I hope BS could be at least in top 5 (which looks very possible actually, but is too early) Eh, it's my opinion :)

That week was its highest points bc that was when the video first came out and got many views and the song sold >300k same as with The Monster last year :'( maybe it would've been 2014 year-end top 10...
