We're in the end game my friends ...and most of the first-string players have left the field. But there is no injury time, no extra innings, no 4-on-4 shootout.
I think I've stretched this metaphor a leeeeettle too far.

I can see all those bottom songs except for maybe Shallow and MIA making next years YE list too. Yeah pretty sure they will but that doesn't do anything to change the ridiculously low 2018 cutoff thats why I included them in the way too long analysis :)

There is a small - say 1% - of songs that are getting a larger and larger "share" of the charts. The Billboard enforced cut-offs that drop songs falling below a specific position after a given number of weeks are not unlike a tax (or anti-monopoly law) that limits those songs from completely dominating the charts indefinitely.
A variation that has recently been introduced in the UK charts is that no more than 3 cuts from the same album are allowed to chart simultaneously. This was an (over)reaction to Ed Sheeran's Divide occupying 9 of the top 10 songs on the top 40 when it came out. I have mixed opinions as to whether Billboard should introduce the same kind of rule. It would cut out a lot of the "one-week wonders", and bring more stability to the chart. The trade off would be loss of accuracy.

Enough with the similes and metaphors! Here's my version of the year-end update including the Nov 17 chart, the second last of the year. Inverse points, yada yada yada...
Mo Bamba climbs into the top 100, Broken will make it in the last week unless it falls off the chart completely (it won't). Can't see anything else making it at this point, even Ariana, who would need a third week at #1 in my algorithm to stand a chance.

Nonstop (this one is ridiculous it's literally one of the random album bomb songs and it's gonna get over 20 weeks) I agree with most of what you posted, but Nonstop only lasted over 20 weeks because it got released as a single, its longevity as an album track wasn't that good.

Imagine going from A Team barely braking top 30 iirc, to being involved in the top 2 of the year end charts for 4 years straight. Iconic

Iconic Yes, even "Sing" which looked like it was going to smash just fizzled all of a sudden and missed Top 10 Crazy to think where he is today - "Shape Of You" is one of the biggest hits of the century and that's not an exaggeration

Shape of you is definitely the BIGGEST song of the decade.(WW) I would make an argument of perfect being top 5 WW as well.

On my all-time list, adjusted year-by-year based on average points of the top ten songs of each year, the top songs of the 2010s are: #7 Shape of You #8 Uptown Funk #10 Closer #19 Party Rock Anthem #24 Despacito #25 Radioactive #28 Somebody That I Used to Know #39 Rolling In the Deep #40 Perfect #41 Blurred Lines #48 Call Me Maybe
(Numbers are rank in my all-time list.)

Perfect and Shape of You spent a cumulative 21 weeks on top of radio. Divide nearly lasted 2 years in the top 20 of the Billboard 200 and X is still in its top 100. Ed has 4 songs in the top 25 most streamed songs of Spotify, including number one, and Divide is the most streamed album there. He also has 3 videos in the top 50 of the most watched Youtube videos.

November 17, 2018 - 52/53 weeks (98.11%)
Added this week: ---> Singles You Up (Jordan Davis) ---> El Farsante (Ozuna & Romeo Santos) ---> Lose It (Kane Brown) Locked this week: ---> Trip (Ella Mai) ---> I'm A Mess (Bebe Rexha) Estimated Cutoff ---> 185,000 points (margin of error: 2% --- 188,700-181,300) *I think the song at #100 will be around 185k points, but it's possible that it ends up with 188.7k-181.3k

And even so, with the margin of error both songs could get in or neither of em could we won’t know until the official list comes out.

That’d be crazy if Drip Too Hard gets in. It doesn’t even seem like it’s been out that long.

There aren't good songs from the 100 to 105 range. They need to make room for Beautiful or High Hopes or have Believer sneak in. All Girls Are The Same, Apeshit, Chun Li, Powerglide, New Freezer, Drip Too Hard and especially Mo Bamba are some of the worst songs this year.
