So I did some analysis on the 7 different top 100 of the year song lists posted to date. I tracked the songs that made the top 30 on any of those lists. Here's how consistent those results are: only 34 different songs were in anybody's top 30.
Then I did a bit of statistical analysis. I took the seven ranks, dropped the high & low scores from the totals and took an average of the remaining five. That's the "Adjust Avg" column below.
We're very very consistent on where we think these songs will rank. We're either all really close to right or really waaaaay off.
Once the real numbers are revealed, I'll try to determine who was closest, by summing the squares of the differences and seeing who has the lowest total.
Won't that be fun!
(What's really scarey is how close the averages are to fhas's predictions!)

Praying that "APESHIT" and "Mo Bamba" don't make the year-end list. I absolutely cannot comprehend the hype/appeal for those two, and I know that too many people will boost them in the year-end rankdown. Unfortunately, the latter has a chance to make 2019's year-end list, too. I wish that "breathin'" or "Ring" had been able to make 2018's year-end, instead.

Apes**t can enter if the "error in points" happened, then "Mo Bamba" and "Ring" has a chance to be caught between years. "Breathin'" I think may miss 2018 YE and be a lock for 2019 YE, but I'll be pleasantly surprised if it manages to sneak in. |

If I recall correctly, "Treat You Better" was predicted to not be anywhere near the top 100 for 2017, and yet it somehow finished at #92 (much to my disappointment, lol). That's why I wouldn't completely rule out anything in the 101-120 range as a possibility, at this point. |
