Lover is #16 this week. Where do you guys think itโll land if the chart includes Nov 30?

Lover is #15 this week. Where do you guys think itโll land if the chart includes Nov 30? I think it will land at around #95-#100.

I just realized Lover, Hot, On Chill, Ballin' and HIGHEST IN THE ROOM might all suffer the same fate as Beautiful. They will probably miss the 2019 year end list by 1 or 2 weeks and might not have enough points to make the 2020 year end list.

^I'd think On Chill (sadly) and Hot are the one that would be at the biggest risk of not making the 2020 year-end. Highest in the Room will depend on some longevity and Ballin' seems to be getting some radio airplay. Lover might have some legs, especially if it can stick around until the Grammys.

Highest in the Room will depend on some longevity and Ballin' seems to be getting some radio airplay. Lover might have some legs, especially if it can stick around until the Grammys. Ballin' might peak on radio very soon so I feel that it (along with On Chill which is already dropping) will be the ones that will definitely be caught (sucks since both are my favourites on here). Lover and HIGHEST IN THE ROOM it really comes down to their longevity as you said, although I'm more inclined to believe Lover will peak next month and start dropping for good. As for Hot, that song is really a wildcard for me and I have no idea what it is going to do.

What are the odds of robbery making it Its best bet would be to have Billboard use the 52 week scenario from 12/01/18 to 11/23/19 for the 2019 year end list. If that one is used it is literally a toss up. With the other two scenarios however (11/24/18 to 11/23/19 or 12/01/18 to 11/30/19), it will probably just miss the cut.

Don't see Bandit getting caught between years - Juice's album is coming out in Dec, and has still been relatively consistent on streaming. I expect it to make the lower half

Covering my butt Dept.: If, contrary to what I expect, Billboard includes the Nov 30, 2019 chart in the 2019 Year End, here's my adjusted prediction.
ETA: I've since updated this with all songs on the Nov 30 chart. Link to follow.
Not surprisingly not a lot of major changes. Happier gets pushed down by both Sucker & Truth Hurts. Someone You Loves moves into the top 20. Circles moves from the top 40 to the top 30. 10,000 Hours & Ballin' climb into the top 100 (as would HIGHEST IN THE ROOM if I had a position for it this week).
But I'm still expecting this chart will just not be included in any year-end.

So if "Highest In The Room" misses 2020 YE, Fantasia's "I Believe" would finally have companion in #1 songs that missed YE.

There are other #1 songs that have missed being in Year End charts, but one has to go back to the 1970's to see it, mostly in situations where songs were #1 in November and missed out by being caught between years during periods of rapid chart turnover.

i really hope that "lover" doesn't get caught between years. it rising to #15 makes me feel slightly better, but i still feel a little pessimistic about its chances right now. i just wish we knew what weeks billboard are going to use.
even if it doesn't make it, at least there's always 2020... if it doesn't fall too fast.

If this week is counted it will be absolute chaos. Hot, On Chill, Highest In The Room, Memories, Lover, Ballin', 10,000 Hours & AIWFCIY will at the very least pass what is currently at #100 (though they likely wouldn't all make it due to pushing each other out). I'm not going to post my lists yet because I want to have all the songs figured out for a complete 150 but just prepare for absolute insanity if this somehow happens.

Honestly I think girls like you will be top 20 considering how high it was on the decade-end list Keep in mind that the year-end lists and decade-end lists aren't the same thing. The decade-end list uses an inverse points system, while the year-end list uses weekly real point performances. If the decade-end formula was the same as the year-end, according to my predictor, Girls Like You would be at around #25 instead of in the top 5.

Highest in the room will be on next years and ballin is gaining in everything still. On chill is the song I'm worried about though.

Assuming that no one objects to this: Considering everyone here seemed to agree on the fact that a new year-end predictions thread should be made for the 2020's, I am planning on making the thread tomorrow morning since I believe that no one else has taken it. The first post will include links to previous year-end predictions, as well as how the charts work in general (and estimated calculations for the formula of the Hot 100, at that). I'm planning on using the week of November 30, 2019 as my first week for the 2020 Year-End Predictions.
We should give a shoutout to everyone who posted their year-end predictions here for their effort and hard work.

Even Though I'm Leaving would likely make the Year-End for 2020 if if had a chart run similar to God's Country (#17 Peak, 23 Weeks, 2,267 Points) or Beautiful Crazy (#21 Peak, 27 Weeks in the 2019 Chart Year, 2,194 Points), while if it had a run similar to Beer Never Broke My Heart (#21 Peak, 21 Weeks, 1,935 Points), it would be a Toss-Up (this chart assumes that 11/30/19 will be included in the 2019 Chart Year, if it's included in 2020's Year, then Even Though I'm Leaving will get a few dozen or so extra points).

But I wonder, which predictor would be the most accurate once the official list comes up?

Why wasn't included the week of Nov. 24 on the 2018 year-end chart?

Why wasn't included the week of Nov. 24 on the 2018 year-end chart? Billboard wanted to keep a 52 week year and if they included that week it woulda been 53 weeks

Why wasn't included the week of Nov. 24 on the 2018 year-end chart? Billboard wanted to keep a 52 week year and if they included that week it woulda been 53 weeks For the record, this logic is why I think scenario 1 is possible. There's at least some possibility billboard decided that their weird year system made no sense, and making it so that every year is 52 weeks would be a change that is at least possible, even though unlikely.

Why wasn't included the week of Nov. 24 on the 2018 year-end chart? It's because of the extra week of 1/3/2018, where Billboard decided to change from being two weeks ahead to just one week. They had to not include this chart otherwise Billboard wouldn't be able to get their year-end lists out "on time."
