I'm looking forward to hearing the recorded version. She has an excellent personality, and the song sounds fun. I hope she sees success here!

Actually, if I'm not mistaken I believe she's a singer turned actress. Wasn't she on a singing talent show?

Jana Kramer 2.0? I'm not against country artists coming from the acting world or reality TV/singing competitions though, so I can't wait to hear what it sounds like. I'll let the music and her voice be the determinants as to whether I'm a fan or not.

I think she has a really good voice. Look forward to hearing the studio version of that live song posted in the first post as well as some other songs.

So excited for this. Lucy is phenomenally talented and I'm so glad her dreams of a music career are finally coming true. I really hope this works out well for her. Just what we need... another reality show contestant/actress turned singer. She is kind of hot, though. There aren't many attractive female country singers. She moved to L.A. from Tennessee to become a singer. She just so happened to get acting work more easily. On top of the fact that she won American Juniors back in the day. There's seriously nothing wrong with taking a great opportunity if it's presented to you until the opportunity to follow your one big dream comes along. Just because she is a Hollywood actress doesn't make this any less real. But it's OK.

Lyrically this is just like Ashton Shepherd's "Sounds So Good" and while I think Ashton's song was better I'm liking what I hear from Lucy. Her introduction video on vevo sounded promising when she was singing. I like her voice and I'm hoping she keeps it more toward the country side of things. Who'd have thought that we'd get two great singles from the two former teen actresses?

Actually, if I'm not mistaken I believe she's a singer turned actress. Wasn't she on a singing talent show? Well that's a reality show and it doesn't count. Reality shows are fake. Actress turned singer means you were a famous actress that's breaking into mainstream music. I'd also like to clarify that if we are going by this logic, then Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, and Kellie Pickler are all fake country singers. How ridiculous of them to be releasing country music! They are not real country musicians!

You can also add Cassadee Pope, Lauren Alaina, Danielle Bradbery, Kelly Clarkson, and even Kacey Musgraves since she was on Nashville Star ages ago.
So the way it looks, almost all of the successful solo women in country music started on TV.

Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert came from tv shows as well.
Besides Taylor Swift there arent many successful mainstream country females that didnt come from tv in some way

I'll let the music and her voice be the determinants as to whether I'm a fan or not. I don't hate Jana Kramer. It's just Nickelodeon and Disney stars I hate turning into singers. What's wrong with a singer having been on a TV singing show. Rigged? Not at all. They can't do that, it's against the law. The only real people I've run into that dislike these shows are under the false impression that touring honky tonks and bars for years on end is the only way a 'true' singer can make their way. There are certainly plenty who still go that route but to discredit all TV show people would also discredit Chris Young, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Kacey Musgraves, Kellie Pickler, Scotty McCreery and so many more people. Labels don't mind as it's one more place to scout talent.

This song sounds so great to me! Lol I like ucy hale ( aria forever) JK she is a real decent artist that I hope can break through just like jana kramer! I think this song is perfect for radio! It's just I hope she can build momento off of each single! (Unlike jana kramer sadly )! I just have high hopes for all these new females and radio just let's them down! I just want them to be successful! And I think ther is still hope for jana kramer and lucy hale! If radio is nice enough

Forgive my post, I was referring to "teen boppers". I was enforcing "actress Turned singer" more then "reality show contestant". I don't like how "girls" become famous and then decide to pursue music. It's really Miley Cyrus' fault and she's about worthless now and very ugly. Hayden Panitterre got a "free shot" at country music just because she was an actress turned singer. How's it Miley Cyrus' fault? There's been many actresses who've gone on to become singers before her so there's no way she's the reason others do so. Also I don't understand why somebody can't be an actor/actress and then want to become a singer, do you hate it when a singer tries to act? If they have the passion to sing then let them sing, hopefully they're good but it doesn't hurt anybody if they're not either. Furthermore Hayden hasn't tried to have a country career, she got a job to play a country singer on a television show, the producers of the show decided to market a single to radio as promotion. From what I've seen I don't think she's going to try to have a career in country. Lastly the worthless and very ugly comment is really beneath anybody to say. I don't particularly care for her public persona or find her attractive; but she's no more worthless than any other person. I've been enjoying your posting for the most part but this one was disappointing, you've shown you're better than this kind of post.

^ Don't hate it, but I'm not loving it after the first few listens. Her voice is not particularly ear friendly, and did anyone else think it was kinda loud - with a over-kill on production. I think it will grow on me, but not in love at first listen :)

This is #11 on iTunes right now. It was #14 before the video premiere. Very surprising coming from someone who doesn't have an established music career but nice! As for the song itself, I think it's a grower. I like it now and I truly think it'll be refreshing to hear on radio. That is, if Country radio stop being a sexist towards to upcoming female artists.

...I love this. It's catchy as hell and I could actually see this doing surprisingly well. But, we'll have to wait and see since this is a female we're talking about.

Lyrically this is just like Ashton Shepherd's "Sounds So Good" and while I think Ashton's song was better I'm liking what I hear from Lucy. I definitely picked up on that as well listening to the song for the first time just now. This is basically like the pop country version of "Sounds So Good," and not nearly as good. It's decent though and her voice and the melody are nice. Sonically, this single reminds me of Leah Turner's debut single "Take the Keys," though I like that one a lot better. Music video was pretty standard and worked for the song. Will be interesting to see how this one does. I'm always up for more females on country radio, even though I'm not completely crazy about this particular song or this girl just yet.

Really like this...uptempo, catchy, and more "country" than most of what's out there right now.

Surprisingly loving this. A lot better and a lot more country than I thought it was going to be. Hopefully radio somehow gives this a chance.

I think this is a bit bland lyrically and I would have liked for Lucy's debut to show a little more personality, but it's extremely catchy and she seems to genuinely love country music so I hope this does well for her. I'm cautiously optimistic, considering country radio's track record when it comes to (not) embracing new female artists.
Lucy has a pretty decent sized fanbase, so if she fails to gain traction on country radio I could still see her being a decent seller.

I kind of want to just post this as a quote because I agree with it almost word for word. :) I think Lucy is all kinds of adorable and I'm rooting for her just like I'm rooting for Jamie Lynn Spears to make a splash this year. I won't rehash country radio's attitude towards women, but it's been a while since I have been this genuinely enthused about the female output. Now if we could just get Miranda to revisit her Crazy Ex-Girlfriend days a bit and Kellie Pickler, Kacey Musgraves, Brandy Clark, and Holly Williams to gain some traction...

I'm not sure if this has an significance but the song is currently #126 on the iTunes Top 200... That's pretty impressive for a newer artist, especially a female.
