Her Britney impression on Jimmy Fallon was much better than this one, but she killed the Cher and Gaga impressions.

#Justice4RedHotKindaLove and Lucas Secon :'( I've been screaming how this was a smash since I first heard Lotus. There are so many hooks and ear worms.

I wonder how 'Red Hot Kinda Love' would have fared had it been the first single instead of 'Your Body'...it really is an awesome song, and it's definitely one of the standouts from the album.

It kind of amazes me that her Target-only GH collection sold 351k, yet neither studio album afterward was able to match - or even come close to - that number. Her commercial decline was quick, wasn't it?
Hopefully the new album does much better.

Her GH is her only compilation album to date though -it was the first album I bought from her for example- and was supported by a top 10 single. Bionic is not too far behind, though! And considering the tragedy of that album era the numbers are not bad. Same for Lotus. Her collabo singles have been successful sellers, including the duet with Blake :) so I don't think she fell that bad. Image, bad single timing and wrong singles have been key issues, but I think she still has it and she can still make a comeback.

I never really understood the sales issue with Christina.
Her peak was pretty short, and she never really came close to Britney, Nsync, etc. sales or hype.
Her decline isn't that surprising, considering she took four year breaks between all her albums (aside from "Lotus), and she was successful, but not quite the FORCE that some of her peers were.
That aside, I'm impressed that she's been able to keep herself out there, and I'm just hoping this new album reignites the passion she had pre-Lotus.
Her passion for her career is such a huge part of her appeal for me, I can dismiss sales if she can BRING IT this time.
I absolutely love that Christina still adores "Bionic," and that she was behind it 100%. I find the artistic creative process fascinating, and Christina really immerses herself in that world.
"Bionic" may not have worked as a whole, but it has some of her best tracks ever, and the more experimental stuff just shows how far she can go with her talent and vision.
I didn't really get on board with "Bionic" at first, but as the years have gone by, I've really come to appreciate what Christina put into it. The depth of her vision was muddled for sure, but she gave some truly incredible moments, and she poured her heart into that album.
I don't care about sales, I just want the PASSION for the music.

Even Christina herself was surprised at its first week sales. It debuted at #9 selling 79k and it was exclusively at Target (and later at Starbucks). Its sold a little over 400k to date.

What are the sales of the Burlesque album? We haven't gotten updated sales figures since Sept. 2012 but it's estimated to be 701k. It's currently #77 on the main iTunes album chart due to a $5.99 price cut. 8.2 million, "Christina Aguilera" (1999) 4.3 million, "Stripped" (2002) 1.7 million, "Back to Basics" (2006) 991,000, "My Kind of Christmas" (2000) 609,000, "Burlesque" soundtrack (with Cher) (2010) 495,000, "Keeps Getting' Better: A Decade of Hits" (2008) 484,000, "Mi Reflejo" (2000) 310,000, "Bionic" (2010) 128,000,"Just Be Free" (2001) Total: 17.4 million Edit: Lotus is at 295k.

I was a fan of the Bionic project. I remember listening to the whole album first on a transatlantic flight, initially sort of as a sleeping soundtrack, and I had to listen to it many times in a row. It was interesting, varied and ambitious. I just wish she hadn't been asked to add NMT any other uptempo could've worked just as good. Hey, even Woohoo could've been a good move with a yet little known NM.

Red Hot Kinda Love is terrible. It just sounds dreadful and so low-budget, as does her she (the low-budget part).
Bionic is terrible too, easily her worst overall (Lotus is just on the dull side). The ballads are good though, All I Need is fantastic and one of her best. Those, the title track and a few of the bonus tracks make for a good EP/what if? collection. You know, before s**t like Vanity, Glam and Desnudate (there's definitely others too) started to make its way in. If she took a sleeker, more new-wave approach rather than rhythmic dance-pop that already sounded dated, dropped the lyrically clunky songs, and balanced that with the ballads onto a 11-12 track album, it could have been quite good.
I really supported her during Stripped and Back To Basics and wore both out, but everything from the GH onwards I just can't care about. Even her collaborations aside from Feel This Moment have left me cold.
Although #JUSTICE4BIONIC was one of the better ONTD trends of the past few years.

Lotus didn't work and I am not as in love with Red Hot Love as everyone else is. Bionic is a pretty legitimately good cd though except for the messiness that I don't even think was her fault necessarily. I still would love to hear the "original" cd.

Bionic was very good when considering it as one work. No song on there was suited to excel on the radio, but some of those tracks were really excellent. And anyone who thinks Lotus was better is kidding themselves tbh.

Jamming to "Let There Be Love" this morning, and all I could think of was "Why wasn't this her lead single?
LTBL &. RHKL had SMASH HIT potential, and I will forever stand by that.
I can't help but think how things may have turned out with the right singles, because they are on both Lotus & Bionic.
SMH.

"Just A Fool" was the biggest missed opportunity of all time. Hell its sold 725k copies without a single video and two live performances. I still hear it quite frequently.

Her vocals sound like they were recorded with very bad equipment. She doesn't sing certain parts badly, but the recording makes them sound harsher.
