She has to knock this performance out of the park. Can you imagine the headlines! It's reported some of the family was in attendance so I'm pulling for Cissy to be present since the estate granted this and it's supposed to be a preview for the tour they are planning with the hologram.

She HAS to release soon! She's doing great in the Voice. She looks the best in many years. Her voice sounds great as well. I really want her to comeback. In an age where Adele has done so well, I'm sure there's room for Xtina. Her last couple of albums had pretty good songs despite their floppage.

I want her to switch up the uptempo to ballad combo she has ran into the ground since Stripped and do a ballad first. They seem to resonate with people and help draw in the audience more. Maybe even something with a strong backing beat into an epic bridge to final chorus since she's stepped her vocal game up recently.

RCA wanted "Beautiful" first but she insisted on "Dirrty". If she's going to release the first single late summer/early fall (as expected) she needs to go for a mid tempo and hit them hard with a ballad in the winter. She has way too many uptempos in her single catalog.

Ugh, I'm happy she's singing "I Have Nothing" on "The Voice' but she's really not going to debut something new??

I know, it's so weird that she doesn't have a power ballad as one of her signature songs with the voice that she has. "Beautiful" and now "Say Something" have very low-key vocals. I'm hoping that she can score some sort of Celine Dion/Adele-esque hit ballad eventually!

Hurt was huge in Europe and Asia though. Quite bigger than Beautiful actually.

It's crazy that she's known for her voice, but doesn't have a major ballad that will be remembered for years. I don't think many remember "The Voice Within" or "Hurt" outside of fans. Don't think either made top 10 on Hot 100 either?

'Kindly Calm Me Down' off Meghan Trainor's new album was meant for Xtina.

Damn, that's one of the better tracks on Meghan's album. Xtina would've killed it.

Completely off topic, but what do you guys think if Christina re-released BIONIC since it was " ahead of it's time"

This hologram thing is so fucking tacky but I am still looking forward to seeing what Christina does with the song.

Christina is looking fantastic lately; it's easily the best she's looked/sounded since B2B. That whole sound just fits her perfectly; if she delivers even one song that's half as perfect as Understand/Hurt/Slow Down Baby, etc. I'll be happy. As for the signature ballad talk...I love me some "Beautiful," but it's a shame that is her signature song/ballad. IMO, she has some of the best ballads of any major female artist, and she's had so many released as singles that should have been huge. "Hurt," "The Voice Within," "I'm OK," and "I Turn To You" remain flawless. :'(

"Hurt" is a staple in the TV talent competition circuit around the world. "Lift Me Up" still hits me in the feels. I would be on board with Linda Perry coming back to do a ballad or two because what she did with Adele on "Can't Let Go" is just breathtaking.

She should have made Bound To You her signature ballad. That song had the burlesque backing, killer vocals and could have been her I will Always Love You or My Heart Will Go on.

Loving all the chatter in here lately. :)
Its time to step your pussy up Christina. I am so ready to be slayed. Its sad that what I have to look forward to is her cover of "I Have Nothing", which is also a bit ironic because where is the album
Also, someone mentioned "Understand" and I wept a bit. My fave. :'(
ETA: I'm all for a nice mid-tempo. Something with soft, subdued but precise vocals like "Without You".

I would love if her first single was a feature. She's like Rihanna in that she brings out the best in her collaborator. Plus she'll need a little help on the pop charts.

She had a Top 10 hit a little over two years ago and won a Grammy for it just last year. Can't say the same for quite a few others.

LOL @ Christina being lead on a song that was already completed and on an album without her until she hopped on a "remix" which featured no new lyrics and in which she basically supplied harmony. I love the woman but let's not reach for the stars and fall flat on our faces, eh? A Great Big World wrote the song and sang the song quite competently on their own, and then, Christina heard it, fell in love, and was featured on THEIR song. End of story. That said, the version featuring Christina was the one that won the Grammy and was a top 10 on radio. If she manages that on her own, with a song either written by or for her, I will be thrilled. I still say it's entirely possible, depending on the strength of the material and her willingness to play the promo game.
Also, I truly believe that Christina and P!nk buried the hatchet. If we recall, bonafide LEGENDS were telling stories of Christina's nasty, rude behavior. I think she has mellowed and matured greatly since those days, but, trust and believe, if P!nk still had an issue with her, we would know all about it.

Pink is still bitter about whatever feelings she has towards Christina while she's completely paid Pink dust. In fact that feud was very much one-sided.
We see now Pink has done an about face and is now praising her as a vocal legend (which is a fact) but deep down she's still mad af.
And what LEGENDS were commenting on her rude behavior?

OK, I get that you are a stan and stans are not particularly known for logic and ability to use restraint in arguments but...
a) How do you know that feud was "very much one-sided?" Like I said, Christina had a stank attitude for quite some time. For the record, I have never read ONE negative thing about P!nk from other artists, legends or otherwise.
b) How has P!nk done an about face regarding Christina? Has she ever denied her vocal abilities? I'm pretty sure she hasn't. Also, can you provide receipts that "deep down, she's still mad af" because I don't see it. Neither one of them are particularly known for their acting abilities and all I saw from both the standard footage and the behind-the-scenes gag reel were two women having a good time coaching young artists.
c) Both Mariah and Queen MJB are on record regarding Christina's rude behavior...in the past. Hell, she even dissed Valerie Bertinelli when she told Christina what a fan she was. Like I said, it appears Christina has matured and mellowed, but let's not act like she was known as the Queen of Sunshine and Roses LOL.
