I hope Tracy will still try releasing music to radio, but the only charts he'll have success on will be on our fan voted charts. It has been fun voting for him! You can be sure if he releases a new single that my #1 vote will be for his song until I can't vote for him again!

I have no insiders knowledge, but in interviews and Facebook posts Tracy always speaks highly of "Cecil's Palace"...now I have no doubts that would flop at mainstream radio, but you never know, he might just release it because he loves it. I personally think "Blacktop" sounds like a song radio might play some if he released it.

I have heard of Tracy's fondness for "Cecil's Palace" and I completely agree with your sentiments. As for "Blacktop", I think if he's going to release it as a single, the optimal time has past by slightly. To me, it's a summer song and probably would've been best as a late June/early July release. That said, if he were to release it soon, I think he might find enough airplay to chart on the actual airplay chart. It sounds like a Jason Aldean song to me, which could get a few people to play it.

Tim and Faith fine their way back to the top with a nice gain, while last week's number one "Girl In A Country Song" by Maddie and Tae slips just slightly into the 3rd spot. Keith Urban earns the greatest gainer award as he jumps from 16 to 4, and one debut. Sara Evans and Isaac Slade make the top 20 on strength of two number one votes a month before her new add date on country radio. Voting was up overall.

Pulse Country Update July 28.pdf (116.58 KB) Here is your pulse chart for the week. Tim and Faith, although down a bit, return for a second consecutive week and third overall at the top. Keith Urban sees a nice gain and earns a new peak in the runner-up spot. Dierks Bentley and Maddie + Tae slide slightly but remain in the top 5 with your Greatest Gainer, Luke Bryan.

A bit of house cleaning this week. 4 debuts from Florida Georgia Line, Sunny Sweeney, Craig Morgan and Sam Hunt, while RaeLynn is seeing strong early numbers. This is also the first chart of 2014 without I Got A Car from George Strait. The most weeks on the chart now belongs to Kacey Musgraves' Keep It To Yourself.

Voting was down overall, but is now available for next week's chart!
