Another bad ass disco classic w/an outrageously beautiful bassline from The Jacksons. One of the group's biggest hits was written by both Randy & Michael Jackson. They were inspired by an ad-lib from Marvin Gaye's 'Got to Give It Up' & rhythmic pattern from Teddy Pendergrass' 'Get Up, Get Down, Get Funky, Get Loose'.
Though his was a bigger hit on the Hot 100 (#7) than 'Blame It On The Boogie', they both shared the same peak on R&B (#3). MJ's amazing vocals & the production makes this song for me. The remastered radio edit does the song justice.
