I'm pretty sure that next week's chart will be drab, what with minimal movement and perhaps one or two debuts. Since next week's chart would reflect airplay from the holiday freeze, I would also expect it to be fairly boring.

All in all, good chart for this week. "Dark Horse" made the chart at #20! Selena's big drop was expected, but I never expected a 22 spot drop. Mackelmore and Ryan Lewis now have the oldest song on the chart with 40 weeks on. I hope it drops off the chart soon, but it might even last a while. As the race for #1 goes, "The Monster" should fizzle out soon enough. It will then be a fight between "Counting Stars" and "Timber". I hope they both reach the top, and then it's looking like "Burn" will get #1 after the other two. I agree. I truly enjoy charts like this which harken back to the more active charts of the 80's. That said, this week was very active even by 80's standards! Which probably means next week will be a very slow week.

All of those drops just make me cringe thinking about them... We haven't had a drop like "Slow Down" since "Two Is Better Than One" dropped 9-23, and "Wrecking Ball"'s drop looked like they cut the chain off and sent it straight down. Rick Dees had 3 weeks worth of specials so there were some big drops in his show as well: "Still Into You" -21 "Marry Me" -23 "TKO" -20

One other thing that occurred to me: With "Say Something" 's debut here, that makes Christina the only artist to appear in the countdown both this week and 10 years ago.
