I'd like to see her get Top 20 on AC, that would be great. :)

An Oscars performance should push this up nicely :)

Debuted at No. 27* on Billboard's AC chart this week. :)
Is there an edit that was promoted to AC radio, or is it strictly the movie version that's getting played?

Heard this on SiriusXM The Pulse yesterday...and this sounded kind of oddly mixed for radio (even my mom agreed and that's not something she'd think about). While I haven't seen the movie, I don't think the jump from the soundtrack to the radio worked so well from a sonic perspective - I would have liked to hear a slightly remastered version (but not totally poppy like the Demi version) akin to what happened with "Cups" last year. Despite that, and the fact that I don't personally care for the song, I think it's *very* smart for radio PDs to be giving this airplay across the pop formats, and I'm surprised at how long it's taken many of them to get on board.

I can't understand why this song is so popular. When I first heard it, I thought it was forgettable. It's definitely no Disney classic tune like Part of Your World and A Whole New World. Then again, I'm in a different generation.
*I thought the songs from Tangled were MUCH better. I also dislike the singer's voice.

*I thought the songs from Tangled were MUCH better. I thought they were boring for the most part, even though I like Alan Menken. And Mandy Moore? Yuck.

Yuck Well, When Will My Life Begin's melody (and lyrics) is much better than Let It Go. And the reprise was the shit. *Sings* Just smell that grass, the dirt, just like I dreamed they'd be... LOL And Mother Gothel's songs. Yeah, my opinion is still the same.

I'm with you on all points (especially Tangled; that's the comparison I keep making in explaining why I find this movie inferior), except for Menzel's voice. Say what you want about her face, but bitch can sing.

There have been some top 10s that didn't chart on any format, though, at the time they appeared in the top 10- i.e. non-radio-promoted tracks.
"Let It Go" should be adding another to its achievements, though, with Adult Top 40/Adult Pop Songs.

Are there any other artists who have scored their first Top 10 in their forties? I can't think of anyone...

^I saw something on Twitter, hat Gary Trust addressed, but it's not a whole lot. Thanks! I see Hurricane Smith had his first and only Top 10 at age 49 in 1972 with "Oh Babe, What Would You Say." I see Louis Armstrong and Sammy Davis, Jr. mentioned in the tweets... but did they also have hits before the Rock & Roll Era? I think Idina might be the oldest female recording artist to score her first Top 10.
