DROPPERS: 15 -- 008 ELLIE GOULDING Burn
PURGED/RECURRENT ON SUNDAY (No Longer Eligible): Chris Brown - Love More (ft. Nicki Minaj) Katy Perry - Roar Lady Gaga - Applause Robin Thicke - Feel Good
CHART NOTES: 2 voters this week and 2 carryovers. It's been a very slow start to the year; a small voting turnout has led to less than 15 songs receiving votes, and thus there are charting songs with no points whatsoever. While everything was going down, 'Timber' was able to fall into the #1 position to ring in the new year. This makes Pitbull and Ke$ha the ones to slay 'The Monster' which falls to #2. Lady Gaga is still doing her thing at #3, while Katy's 'Dark Horse' canters back to #4. Britney takes advantage of the low point threshold to mark a return to top 5 territory.
As previously noted, the lowest charters this week received no votes, and hold onto the chart due to their positions from the previous chart week. There is one song falling off the chart this week, making way for one debut; Jason Derulo dirty talks his way into the top 15.
#1's of 2014: 01/08/2014 PITBULL Timber (ft. Ke$ha)
VOTING RULES - Anything currently in the Mediabase top 50 is eligible for voting - Anything with a confirmed CHR/POP adds date is eligible for voting - Anything listed under 'Cool New Music' on AllAccess is eligible for voting - Songs without proof of substantial pop airplay and/or service to the format will be allowed at my discretion

PURGED/RECURRENT ON SUNDAY (No Longer Eligible): Drake - Hold On We're Going Home (ft. Majid Jordan) Lorde - Royals
CHART NOTES: 4 voters this week and no carryovers. Now that the chart is back up to speed thing should hopefully hit an upward curve. It certainly is an upward curve for Lady Gaga, she's made sure Pitbull and Ke$ha are going down as she takes 'Do What U Want' to the top for a second time. 'Timber' doesn't fall far however, as they are still at #2. 'Dark Horse' trots back up to its peak of #3, and Jason Derulo talks up #4. Chris Wallace keeps it cool as his 'Crazy' makes a return to the top 5.
There is a big cleanout this week, with five debuts hitting the chart. Shakira certainly wasn't forgotten this week, her new Rihanna collab is the week's top debut at #6, while Beyonce couldn't quite drink her under the table with 'Drunk In Love' right behind her at #7 (even before actual pop single 'XO' sees any chart action). #11 smells like 'Chocolate' with The 1975's breakout hit impacting the top 15, with Demi's 'Neon Lights' flashing right behind them. Miley's previous single didn't get as much adoration as 'We Can't Stop' but 'Adore You' is making its own start as it cracks the

Hello! I'm new around here but would love to contribute here so hopefully I'm doing this right. I assume its our top 5? Though I've noticed some folks have a top 10. Well, here goes. Some people post top 10's because they're using their personal charts and some songs don't meet the cut for this countdown (which is based on the pop radio chart, only songs that are getting any pop radio attention are eligible).

I don't include songs I know aren't eligible. I include songs that may be eligible or not, so I put 10 just to be safe. Usually in that 10 I have 5 that are actually charting so definitely eligible.

Lol, I believe this is the first time I've done this. I really need to post more in the CHR/pop section. @ the #1 for 2013. I'm not really sure what the maximum # of songs I can vote for is, but I'm assuming it's 10? 1. "Talk Dirty" - Jason Derulo f/2 Chainz 2. "XO" - Beyonce 3. "Replay" - Zendaya 4. "Waiting For Superman" - Daughtry 5. "Young Girls" - Bruno Mars 6. "Neon Lights" - Demi Lovato 7. "Perfume" - Britney Spears 8. "State Of Mind" - Colby O'Donis (Should be eligible since it's #51 among currents). 9. "Can't Remember To Forget You" - Shakira f/Rihanna 10. "Say Something" - A Great Big World f/Christina Aguilera

CHART NOTES: 12 voters this week and no carryovers. It's Yoncé all up on the chart like liquor this week, as 'Drunk In Love' ascends to the summit in its second week on-chart. Not only that, but 'XO' makes its own impact right behind at #2. This makes Beyoncé the second artist to ever hold the top 2 spots simultaneously, a feat Macklemore & Ryan Lewis managed last year with 'Same Love' at #2 while 'Can't Hold Us' was at #1. With the Beyonslaught, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry are pushed back to #3 and #4 respectively. After landing top debut last week, Shakira and Rihanna inch up just a little bit to round out the top 5. For the first time in a long while, the #1 passes 20 points, while the entire top 5 has at least 10 points.
With three times the voters this week over last week, numbers overall have spiked dramatically; the lowest charters this week have 6 points, with all three of a three-way tiebreaker charting. There's also been some spring cleaning going on this week, with five songs exiting stage left to make way for four debuts and a re-entry. Beyoncé has already been mentioned at #2 with 'XO', while further down in the top 10, Cash Cash makes a splash. Down in the top 15, Calvin Harris and Ayah Marar have finally been given some thought, and Pharrell must be pretty happy that his latest solo hit is catching on quickly. Eminem and Rihanna's 'Monster' prowls its way back into the top 10.
#1's of 2014: 01/08/2014 PITBULL Timber (ft. Ke$ha) 01/15/2014 LADY GAGA Do What U Want (ft. R. Kelly) 01/22/2014 BEYONCE Drunk In Love (ft. Jay Z)
