Jodeci are working on their first studio album since 1995. Timbaland revealed he's producing material for it. This may have made me excited about a decade ago, but they've been gone way too long and K-Ci's voice is shot to hell now. I'll check out the new material, but my hopes are not high at all.

I'm curious enough but I'm not expecting much in the form of a comeback. Timbaland's involvement is the only thing that makes me expect anything more than SWV's recent comeback, but even at that it's hardly like he's a guarantee of relevancy anymore. I'm hoping for a few new jams though.

Their voices are a mess now but if this sounds anything like their & Timbo's 90's stuff then OMG.

I'm guessing the production will be on point, but Jodeci themselves won't be. And they're pretty much only going to have a shot at UAC regardless. Still, I'm pretty intrigued to see how this turns out.

Love Always? I LOVED that album. When she said, "HeLLLLLLLLLLLAWWWW!!", K-Ci sounded like a straight up crackhead on that album but I loved it. Tell Me It's Real was a beautiful song, as well. It was my best friend's wedding song when I DJ'ed.

Considering K-Ci and JoJo's voices are shot to the eighth chamber of hell, I'm not even remotely interested.

Are their voices really shot? Haha. I haven't heard them sing live in ages, but I can't imagine K-Ci not sounding a hot mess with the way he used to sing.

Well.....the background vocalists sounded good.
Maybe they will bring out their cousins Fantasia and Dave Hollister to sing with them at the Soul Train Awards lol wishful thinking I know.

Two songs co-produced by Timbaland.
Checkin For You sounds better than Nobody Wins but lyrically it's average.

They sound better on "Checkin For You" than the other two tracks that have been released.

Leaked (or released in Europe).
Better than expected but can't touch any of their 3 classic albums from the 90s.

The album is terrible. It sounds cheap and dated (not in a good "nostalgic" way-- like it could have come out in 2002). Definitely nowhere close to their 3 90s albums.

I'm shocked they were even able to secure a major label deal to release it; it's going to sell horribly.
