Wow, she looked INCREDIBLE. And such a suprise to see her on that stage after so many years as well!

I hope this begins a new friendship of sorts.
I also entirely get why Mariah has avoided the Grammys most of her career (and wouldn't blame her if it continued), but I also think last night shows that she can get something out of it even if they aren't awarding her.

Sadly Mariah has been the Queen of Not Capitalizing on Momentum for over a decade now :( Meanwhile: I think it's really her second album (I think they are counting "AIWFCIY" for MCIIY as well), but regardless this is truly impressive for a 1990s album. |

He's infuriating but also not worth our time and energy, but what I will say is that "team player" shit matters for things like the Grammys. I remember in one of the years Taylor Swift won AOTY one of those 'blind ballot' people voted for her and mentioned she'd get a lot of votes because she attends Grammy events and that builds goodwill. Of course it shouldn't be about that kind of stuff, but it apparently is. And ok this view is great: |

So, I don't look at unpacking videos because I like surprises and don't like having my experience with something for the first time spoiled for me. My Music Box 30th anniversary vinyl set came today and, at first, I was upset because I thought we got scammed and they used the small picture that was on the original cover, but I really like what they did. How they incorporated it. Very old school. Anyway, I am SO glad I invested in this. I only own Music Box on cassette and some bootleg files on my computer. The album sounds better than ever and even fresh. I fell in love with the album all over again and I'm glad I waited to listen to it this way instead of streaming it when she released it. I swear I saw God when I heard Hero, LOL. Props to whoever did the pressing on this release. Crisp and clean. Also, I'm annoyed that All I Live For didn't take the place of one of the other uptempos. It's much better and the extended version is fire. Not gonna get through the whole thing, but I am such a happy lamb. I'm also pleased how well she was received last night at the Grammys. Her appearance was one of the highlights of the whole show, which was otherwise dull and predictable. I had no idea she would be there, so it was a nice surprise for me. I really hope new music is coming soon so she can remind the girls.

Her magnum opus does it again 💅 Side story: I wasn’t home for the Grammys and I forgot to record it so I didn’t get to see the MC on MC moment live. And to top it off I had sort of a freak accident where I had to go to the ER for one of my eyes. Sunday was a mess for me. Ugh |

I’ve always said Hero was the song that made me a stan, the song did something to me when I first heard it as a young kid and being an immigrant. Since then I haven’t listen to it as much but always loved it. However, don’t know if it’s because I’m getting older or what, but in the past few months I’ve been listening to live performances of it and I burst into tears. The lyrics touch me again in such a profound way. Can’t explain it. It would always hold a special place in me. |

Any word on what producers she is bringing in for this album? I am pretty sure she will probably do Dev Hynes again, and she always has a soft spot for JD. I would love for her to work with Skrillex again. The Dream and Tricky Stewart again.
She just announced a new Vegas show in April, so maybe new music is for sure on the way by then.

The lambs and Prisoner, I don’t know who will wear down first, but it is a fun battle to see. I mean the lambs should know if they want to see it, they need to get that song to chart somewhere. Get it to number 1 on iTunes or somewhere, lol. It was the only way to finally get her to really acknowledge Glitter was getting it to chart again.

I'm very intrigued whether it'll be a true celebration of TEOM or if it's just another label for the same ol' setlist. I know the statement talks about a mix of TEOM and hits, but are we getting Circles? Are we getting Stay The Night? (...she can keep To The Floor).
I wish she would have just gone all out and made it a live performance of the entire album, with little medley of some hits midway if need be.
