I think a lot of songs on "Memoirs" are about Mark Sudack, they broke up around 2007/2008 and were together for a few years, so that was still resonating with Mariah at the time. It's funny that he was completely ignored in her book, it's like their relationship never existed. Mark Whodat don't sell, so that's why he isn't mentioned. Having said that, I am curious what happened there; as in, were they together when she met Nick? If so, Mark would be the one better to sing the Memoirs songs lol. Regardless I think it would be weird if she was writing and singing about Mark while she was a newlywed with Nick. Like, she was caught up in the rapture of Nick's cannon.

I think Memoirs was one of those collaborations where it was very strongly both collaborators. I think some songs read more The Dream and some read more Mariah. Overall, it works, and it showcases both at their best. The only real blip on that album was including that cover of IWTKWLI on the US version at least. It wasnโt needed. There were plenty of good follow-up single choices to Obsessed. I think the ballad of that album should have been Angelโs Cry. She could have followed that up with Up Out My Face and ended with either HATEU with remix or Candy Bling.

Candy bling is Mariah didn't she say Nick proposed with a ring pop or something. Song's like Obsessed, Up out my Minaj and Betcha contain her humour lines and lingo.

I keep hearing these so called rumors but where is this so called "MC16" and will we get it in 2025 or by 2028?
She is so funny, feminine and adorable as always.

Everytime I hear Mariah talk about the new album, I keep imagining the reunion where Nene is yelling at Kim, โ Where is it? Where is it?โ

It better not be only ten tracks this time. Especially if we have to wait another six years for the next album.

I want quality over quantity. I don't care how many tracks are released they just better be top quality.

Iโve always usually found the quality is there with Mariah. I think the only album in her catalog that I dislike is Charmbracelet. The vocal delivery of those great lyrics is tragic.

Yeah, I'm totally onboard with a 10-track album if they're quality songs. The song-writing I'm sure will be great, but I'd be here for an energetic bop or a couple of songs where the melody just hits you right away.

Iโve always usually found the quality is there with Mariah. I think the only album in her catalog that I dislike is Charmbracelet. The vocal delivery of those great lyrics is tragic. This great remastered version of Rainbow gives me hope that a remastered Charmbracelet could really elevate that one. Yeah, I'm totally onboard with a 10-track album if they're quality songs. The song-writing I'm sure will be great, but I'd be here for an energetic bop or a couple of songs where the melody just hits you right away. I'm still waiting for her to finish "Time of Your Life" (or release the full version if one already exists). Anyway, I don't know if I believe that rumor saying she wrote a ballad about navigating the music industry, but I've always had this idea of her doing an album fully dedicated to music as a concept. That song would work for it, as would "Time of Your Life" (i.e. she's giving fans the time of their life with her music). I'd also love an "I Wish"-type song where she gets nostalgic about what music did for her as a kid (i.e. reminisce about listening to the radio under the covers and such). "Dedicated" could be recycled for the album and I wouldn't even care because that songs deserves more attention.
