Maybe the countdown is to reveal the title or the cover or both?
It seems odd for the book to come out tomorrow without her really saying it.

That note...wow! She better speak on it. "...largely satisfying someone else's assignment to define me."

As if the book note wasn't enough, my Survivor girl Parvati is stanning Mariah on IG and singing "Shake it Off." I live.

Amazon shows the book being 368 pages. Now that’s more like it!

Looks like there’s going to be an audio book also and she’s the narrator. I love her voice I haven't really done an audio book before, but I might for this one. She has such a pleasant speaking voice. Given how intelligent, articulate, and vulnerable she is in songs and interviews, I feel like this could be an exceptional memoir. Especially given her long and massive career with all its ups and downs.

You can sorta see some of the cover behind the letter...I see blond hair and a sheer black dress? And I get the sense that the cover was shot during this photoshoot... The brown/dark walls also Hmm, I think I’m on to something...lol

I only see hardcover and audio on Amazon. It’s standard for big releases to just do hardcover and audio first. Paperback will come in subsequent reprints as late as a year later, when they can sort of promote it as a relaunch.

Reese Witherspoon replied she can't wait to read the book, and my girl Parvati replied about forming a book club!

2018 and on Mimi is very confident in her own skin so this is best time to tell her story. She even hinted she was going to touch on the times up movement so hope its in here and she was been very direct about the "fake Hollywood scene" so in wonder how many people she gonna rightfully call out.

I hope she gives us a good teaser or two before it gets released. I’m sure she will go on WWHL since the publishing company publishing it is Andy Cohen’s.

I wonder if she will touch on her voice and it’s ups and downs ? I wish more artists did that to be honest. A lot of them just act like their voice is still in pristine condition when it clearly is not. Hope Mariah sets a precedent at that.

Agree, I think opening up about her voice in detail will make her come across as humble and relatable .. it will come across as refreshing!

Mariah won’t even acknowledge her birthday; the likelihood of her publicly acknowledging the deterioration in her voice is verrrry low. If anything, I can see her talking about the fragility of her voice, like she has done since early on her career - like how on some days elements of it just don’t work as they should etc. But personally, I don’t see her talking about its overall deterioration as she aged.

That is something I hope she doesn't discuss because people will say she's just making excuses to why she didn't take care of her voice. There is no point in explaining something like that unless she had some type of vocal surgery. And even then I'm not sure she would publicly admit the deterioration and inconsistency issues.

It has to do more about her nodules. And I don’t see anything wrong if she speaks about that in particular.

I also don’t see anything wrong with her writing about the changes in her voice. I mean she is human. Did anyone expect for her voice to stay as pure as it was at its finest? She eloquently wrote that she hopes the world sees her story of resiliency. I doubt her voice has been a MAJOR factor that has contribute to her trauma, but it’s indeed part of her story. She is well aware that these days folks question her vocal abilities and that any “bad” note is going to be bashed. Like hello media, the queen is still one of the most talented and gifted singer/songwriter ever. At this point in her life, her talking about her voice is not going to hurt her image. I am certain there are going to be moments in this book which will be so painful/revealing it will probably overshadow pages dedicated to her voice (if she if even goes there) Rant over lol.
Now that the Memoir is coming, what is everyone hoping to learn more about?
I want to know know more about her childhood, the complex trauma, her mental health, and further details about The Roof (of course, I just need further confirmation is my fave). Plans for the future.

To this day MC claims that if she gets a full night’s sleep, she wakes up with her voice sounding the same it did when she first started out, so, no I don’t think she’s gonna touch on the “deterioration” of her voice. 😂
Her voice is her bread and butter, she’s not gonna go out and openly state it’s not what it used to be (and that’s understandable).
