YAWN. Get your holiday coins mama, but we better get something non-Christmas in the first quarter. Am I the only fool holding out hope for a September to Jan Mariah run of fall album and winter holiday and using her dominance in the winter to help her promote her non holiday music. The reality is the earliest we gonna get MC album is spring/summer 2025.. she never been a Jan and February girl

I saw her in Las Vegas last night and i must say it has to be one of the best concerts i have ever attended. Not a single dull moment.
I was in the front row so she kept on looking at me and waved at me. At first i thought i was imagining it but then realized she did it a numver of times, so that made me really happy.
And she looked hot!!
The clips from the 90s kinda made me sad and miss the 90s.
My only gripe is that the concert was too short.

I keep going back to h.a.t.e.u. - hands down my favorite Mariah track of the 21st century so far. I’m still waiting to hear what everyone heard in this song. Over the years I have appreciated it more, but still can hear why it flopped. It’s a snoozer. Even the whistle notes are kind of boring. I’m happy fans love it. I don’t hate it, but never got the love for it. However I Loved the unreleased remix.

I keep going back to h.a.t.e.u. - hands down my favorite Mariah track of the 21st century so far. I’m still waiting to hear what everyone heard in this song. Well I can list several things I love about it if you are interested. 1. I love how it starts with the typical fairy tale line of "Once upon a time..." but we then quickly see that it wasn't a fairy tale. That is then echoed in the question, "How'd our fairy tale end up this way?" 2. The production matches what is going on lyrically there. The start of the song is light and sort of twinkly, which fits with that fairy tale opening line. Then when you see it ended up not being a fairy tale, the beat kicks in and the song takes on a darker tone. 3. The b-section is amazing lyrically; the couplet, "We went round for round til we knocked love out / We were laying in the ring not making a sound" is an all-timer, and the vocal effect used on Mariah's voice there works really well in conveying the zoned out quality that's going on in the relationship. 4. I love the concept of "I can't wait to hate you..." That's not a concept I'd personally heard before in a song, so it gives "HATEU" a fresh angle which is really hard to do considering how many breakup songs are out there. 5. I love the second verse and the concept of "I sit and press rewind and watch us every night / Wanna pause it but I can't make it stay." This is another great use of simile, and I'm sure we've all been in that situation of replaying moments with someone we loved. 6. I think this song has another great bridge from Mariah. It's not huge vocally, but the melody on it is nice, and I love the line "And I just keep having one last thing to say." Again, we've probably all been in that situation where you keep thinking of something you want to say to the person. It's just such a well-written song in so many ways, and the production plays off those lyrics really well. Mariah's vocal is predictably great, too.

I hear everything you’re saying, but still find it kind of boring. I did love when she performed it on Letterman though. I’m going back to listen to it again. Lol. This is a song I never visit by Mimi. I’m going to try. I’ll probably have my foot in my mouth soon. Lol

At 58 mins and 33 seconds when that girl said she was from Ottawa and the crowd booed and Mariah was like what is going on .. not understanding the rivalry.
Mariah sounded amazing that night she was on point and that crowd was HYPE and living

YESSSS for the HATE U love. It surpassed Close My Eyes as my #1 Mariah song. Highly relatable, iconic, etc.

'Having A Typical Emotional Upset' [Jump Smokers Remix] has been in my Top 3 Mariah annual plays/streams. Much as I try, I 'Still Can't Shake You Off'

Why wasn’t this released?? I actually remember hearing it on the radio back then for a second and everyone loved it! (Well in my circle of friends). It possibly would have kickstarted the Era again??

I do legit despise the "having a typical emotion upset" full form of HATEU though.

I'm going to "Ribbon" a shot out too cause look... Another masterpiece, I said it. Something about Betcha Gon’ Know, H.A.T.E.U. and Ribbon that just does it for me. It’s what keeps me going back to that album for the most part.

I do legit despise the "having a typical emotion upset" full form of HATEU though. Yeah. The bizarre acronym was completely unnecessary and if you try to insert it in place of Hate U, then you get...I can't wait to Having A Typical Emotional Upset you, which...doesn't make sense.

"Hate You" (I ain't writing in the traditional way, sorry) remains one of Mariah's best ballads. It was always a gem and a half. It should've been another #1. It and "You're Mine (Eternal)" are her two most underrated ballad singles IMO.

I don’t hate it, but never got the love for it. However I Loved the unreleased remix. The pre-chorus is what initially grabbed me. While I can understand the "snoozy" take, I love the downbeat-yet-dreamy tone of it all and the lyrics. It feels real.
