I have a (weird) question regarding the cover for MiMi. Is the dress real or is it animated? I always wondered. That’s a real dress. Looks almost metallic/liquid metal. The photographer has talked about that photoshoot a few times as it is one of his favorite moments of his career. And he said Mariah actually cut parts of the dress to show off her legs more. Btw, the photographer of that cover and all the singles cover of that era worked with her recently. No one knows for what exactly. |

When Memoirs and Butterfly join Mimi and Daydream then Mariah won with her most rnb albums! That tweet itself is misleading because it's counting "AIWFCIY" for 2 different albums, which seems odd. Still, I don't think any other 1990s act has 3 albums with over 1 billion (or maybe like 1-2 others do). Motha isn’t playing with the 30th anniversary I figured something like this was coming. I feel bad for international fans since she seems to only do these holiday shows in North America. I really hope her team has something planned as far as Spotify goes because otherwise "RATCT" will get most if not all of the weeks at #1 this season. I also hope we finally get her version of "Where Are You Christmas?" Sony needs to make that a b-side to a physical "AIWFCIY" and sell it. That would really help sales. |

This is the 30th anniversary of MC so this Christmas tour and the inevitable emphasis on her Christmas music was to be expected (hopefully we will get her version of "Where Are You Christmas" and a studio version of her cover of "Christmas Wrapping").
That's why I was really hoping that we would get new music last year since she (rightfully, imo) was more low-key about the Christmas stuff. Obviously, we have been getting non-Christmas music in the form of her anniversary albums, but yeah, here's hoping 2025 will yield better results for non-Christmas music. She hopefully will wrap MC30 (please give me "Skydiving") and we get SUD alongside Daydream 30.
I will say that while I do hope for more non-Christmas music next year, I genuinely love her promotion around the holidays b/c 1) Mariah's love of Christmas is sincere and 2) We as fans get to enjoy seeing her promote her music in some sort of capacity (tours, Christmas specials, etc.) on an annual basis, which is not a luxury that many fans of veteran artists get.

Glad she's expanding her holiday tours each year. With MC30, hopefully we'll get some nice surprises as well.
Also nice to be "Obsessed" and "We Belong Together" with over 400k streams again. Those songs, and "Fantasy," were doing really well at the beginning of the year and then started losing streams, so this is a return back to normal.
