"Against All Odds" - solo version not a hit, duet version was a big hit in Europe due to Westlife Interesting because Against All Odds (solo version) was released right after Heartbreaker in Brazil and it was a big hit. But then again, IWTKWLI is her biggest hit ever here. |

It's so nice to see her increases this year on Spotify. Her back catalog deserves it. Those songs at the top are flawless

In terms of her back catalog, I really need "Heartbreaker" to have a viral moment. Ideally it would be "Dreamlover" actually as it's been kind of lost in her catalog, but I think "Heartbreaker" has a better shot between its lyrics, video, and the dance moment. "HB" should be getting at least 100k Spotify streams a day.
It's interesting to me how much bigger "Without You" is on YouTube. It does decently on Spotify, but it's huge on YouTube. The 'main' version has 470 million views, but then there is a second version (which is the same video as the first, just without the spoken intro) that has nearly 200 million views. The official MSG performance video then has over 40 million views, so combined those 3 videos have over 700 million views.

The lyrics of "Thirsty" come to mind (not to mention "Faded" and the heartbreaking "Camouflage"). "Meteorite" comes to mind, too. I've always seen that as a song she might have written about working with American Idol contestants or something, but it just hit me that it could have also been written about Nick. If she recognized he had main character syndrome, she might have been encouraging him (while also noting "it's only 15 minutes asswipe" lmao). That would then make sense that it's placed near the end of the album since that's where we find out she's decided to stay with Nick (at least temporarily). |

I found myself chuckling at some of her LA Times interview answers b/c of how frank she is. I'm glad she's at that point in her career where she feels she can be that open and honest. I'm just loving all these interviews in general. This is (partly) why I don't mind the emphasis on her Christmas music. It's because she's the Queen of Christmas that we're getting all these interviews and many of these interviews talk about a variety of subjects, not just Christmas.
