I'm shocked how people are so bitter, horrible, mean spirit on TMZ comments. I felt so bad reading and knowing there's people like that.

I haven't seen any of the clips yet but yes, I agree, Epic is very smart for getting positive press before the show has even begun. They need to sustain this buzz for as long as possible.

Speaking of "Love Takes Time", there was a male cover version of "We Belong Together" on youtube a few years ago (I've seen it on a couple of other sites too), and instead of him singing the "If You Think you're Lonely Now" line, he replaced it with "Love Takes Time". Has anyone else ever heard this? I can't find it anywhere.

The rollout for the Vegas shows and this hits collection is brilliant. Loving the videos. She sounds pretty good. This is the most positive press and certainly the BEST ROLL-OUT she received since TEOM (maybe Merry Xmas II). Go Mariah! If she nails opening night and her performance at the Billboard Music Awards, she just might have a shot at a decent size comeback for her next studio album. I do not expect this hits collection to sell more than 100k total. I'm thinking 30-40k for its debut.

What's funny is that some of the posters here were hating on her Vegas stint a few months ago and asking why they would go, but now are suddenly wanting to get a ticket. Yeah I think all of her award and TV performances since E=MC^2 were very questionable. Anybody remember "stop singing my part right now bae"??? She showed improvement with the Merry Christmas II era, but then slipped when she was promoting #Beautiful. But even through that I've known she had it in her to deliver quality vocals. I've been saying all she needed was to get serious and vocal practice / re-arrange songs to fit her current vocal state. She can still SANG. |

Having heard those miraculous vocals during her Christmas concert at the Beacon, I know she can still do it when she really focuses and takes care of her voice appropriately but even then, I would be a stone fool to assume that we were going to get that in Vegas until hearing clips of her doing it. It's still a lot of money and I have other financial obligations looming large but I will at least consider it now.

The Xmas concert had a combo of live and lipped vocals but it had enough effort for me to not feel ripped off as a fan. Not to mention the chance to relive some of her classics brought tremendous value to the experience.
This Vegas show looks like it's going to be that x 18 (see what I did there lol). Especially seeing that she's bringing back some moments from the videos too and throwing in a few surprises. It's a legit Mariah experience and I'm ashamed I haven't purchased a ticket yet.
